World of Warcraft has been running for almost twelve years now and still attracts massive numbers of players to Azeroth every day. Especially now that the sixth expansion called Legion has just been released. But even before the release of the expansion, August was marked by World of Warcraft, as with update 7.0.3 came not only a lot of adjustments to the existing classes, but we could also play the pre-event for the demon invasion.

This kick-off to Legion was truly impressive and even people like me, who are not so familiar with the WoW lore, were really blown away by the spectacular Pre-Event for the addon. I rarely had such emotional moments in an MMORPG, except perhaps in SWTOR or The Secret World. And if the prelude to the great demon war is already so intense, it promises a lot for the finished product.

World of Warcraft: Legion was therefore the current highlight for all WoW fans and is also our MMO of the Month! Only Overwatch could have changed that with the release of Sombra, but apart from further cryptic hints, unfortunately, there was nothing.
Five Reasons Why World of Warcraft: Legion is Our Game of the Month
The story will be epic! The demon invasion is a main theme of WoW, and players have been waiting forever for the Legion to finally arrive and for them to face it in the great final battle. Therefore, the story should be spectacular and shake things up in Azeroth and in the lore.
Our heroes are truly something special! Many MMOs try to depict our characters as more than just generic quest machines – and often fail. In World of Warcraft: Legion, however, our character actually comes across as a real badass, leading a whole order of his colleagues and even wielding a legendary artifact weapon!
Demon Hunters are finally playable as a new hero class! The blind demon slayers are among the coolest concepts in WoW lore and have been very popular since Warcraft 3, almost unmatched in coolness. And now we can finally play one!
Professions are valuable again! After crafting was largely relegated to the garrisons and sunk into insignificance in Warlords of Draenor, Legion returns to the classic profession choices, with which we can craft various meaningful items and become better craftsmen through upgradable ranks.
Massive new content! Whether exploring the open world, researching quest regions like Suramar, battling in PvP, or enjoying dungeons and raids, Legion offers high-quality new content for every type of player and promises to keep delivering ample supply in the future. There should be no content drought like we had recently with Draenor.
