The beta phases of Ghost Recon Wildlands received a lot of criticism – Are you satisfied with the current version?
During last year’s E3 fair, Ubisoft showcased the first exciting trailers of the new tactical shooter. With further trailers and gameplay videos, players were prepared for the upcoming open world adventure. This year followed a closed and an open beta, both of which received a lot of criticism, but could convince in the cooperative sector.
On March 7th, the game was released and you had time to test it. How satisfied are you with Ghost Recon Wildlands?
Harsh criticism during beta tests
Ghost Recon Wildlands had a rough start. In early February 2017, it was time: selected players could participate in the closed beta of GRW. The community’s conclusion was interesting, as despite Wildlands having many bugs at that time, players did not reject it but demanded a later release.
This was requested so that the developers would have more time to fix the existing problems of the game. Something about Ubisoft’s new title was done right and convinced the community despite obvious weaknesses.
As points of criticism, the vague vehicle controls were often seen, which made driving cars or motorcycles worse than players wanted. The complicated flying with the helicopter was also often criticized. Added to this was questionable behavior of the AI characters in the game. Both the teammates and the opponents controlled by the computer appeared lost and overwhelmed in many situations.
However, there were also many positive feedbacks, for example praising the cooperative gameplay. With up to four players, you can complete story and side missions in the various regions of Ghost Recon Wildlands. The simultaneous progress of the missions and the various tactical options were positively noted. The arsenal of weapons with 23 assault rifles and 17 sniper rifles was also well received by testers.
How do you rate the “finished” Ghost Recon Wildlands?
Despite the harsh criticism, many of you gave the game a chance and wanted to test the “finished” product. A few days have already passed since you could try Ubisoft’s tactical shooter. You may have already completed missions in the various regions, defeated boss enemies, and solved side missions to gather resources. Some of you probably had to parachute out of a helicopter because you couldn’t absolutely trust your pilot.
