We need reinforcement. Mein-MMO.de is looking for freelance writers to write about ARK Survival Evolved from home.
Who we are
Mein-MMO.de was founded in September 2013 and is now part of Webedia Gaming.
Currently, 9 authors write about around 70 different multiplayer online games on the site. About 160 articles are published each week. These are sometimes short news articles that inform players about patches, release dates, or maintenance. Sometimes they are complex guides, analyses, or reviews. There are also some quirky stories from the community.
We reach about 100,000 readers daily, who comment between 500 and 700 times on our articles each day. We also have various Facebook pages and manage groups related to our core games. This way, we directly reach over 80,000 gaming fans.
What we expect
- We are looking for a freelance author with a strong commitment to the profession and a passion for online gaming. A good writing style and the willingness to continue improving it are prerequisites.
- Good English skills and excellent spelling in German are also important.
- As a freelance author, you will independently or in collaboration with the editorial team choose gaming topics and write about them.
- You will write opinion pieces, guides, news, and features about your favorite games.
- You will learn how to input these articles into our content management system WordPress and design them for the web.
- You will gain experience with our social media channels, analytics tools, and learn journalistic techniques.
- Analytical thinking is required: You will write content that interests the community and learn to identify and evaluate these topics. The readers come first!
To make it clear: This is not a full-time job, but a few hours a week. We expect about 4-12 news articles or articles weekly – we are flexible. However, it is necessary that time and willingness are available. The working hours can be arranged by the author.
Either you already have experience with all aspects of this job or a great interest in acquiring them.
We do not want anyone who approaches this task only half-heartedly. The expectations of our readers and our own are too high for that.

ARK has its release in a few days – we are looking for an author who can accompany the game for us long-term with guides, news, and opinion articles.
The long-term, in-depth coverage of games-as-a-service games is an important part of our work and something that sets us apart from other online gaming sites.
We do not need general fluff about ARK Survival Evolved, but articles that are filled with expertise and form a larger context about what is currently happening in the game and its community.
