It is once again time to vent about other players. I particularly enjoy doing this, especially after a release like the recent one with Overwatch, where the density of idiots in many games significantly increases.
“Omg, Mei is cancer” and “only retards play Bastion” are still among the more friendly comments you get to read in the chat these days. Worse are the people who spend more time complaining to their own team than focusing on the game.
“D.Va is so bad, she deals no damage and her mech dies way too quickly.”
“I can’t understand how this game costs 40€ when it is so poorly balanced and lacks content. PvP gets boring after 3 rounds.”
And of course, the favorite: “Team Fortress/Battleborn/Counter Strike/Any game is so much better, why is anyone playing this at all?”
I’m glad I don’t have pencils lying on my desk because I would have broken them by the hundreds.
Almost as much as the people who have to say something stupid at the end during the “Play of the Game”. One out of twelve players receives a special honor for a cool (at least most of the time) play. And instead of congratulating the player or at least keeping their hands off the keyboard, there’s almost always an idiot in every round who has to ruin that moment with “Q of the Game” or “Wow, right-click, much skill”.
Instead of letting someone else have their “10 seconds of fame”, you have to ruin it, huh? But you know what, my dear whiners? Obviously, the displayed play was better than anything you delivered in the round. So let the other players enjoy their moment. Maybe then you won’t always have to play alone.
I look forward to the day when these players finally draw the only logical conclusion and spend their time on more meaningful things than playing a game they don’t even enjoy. Because that’s really a waste of time.
