Those who wish can already play Mass Effect: Andromeda in advance. The preload should also be planned, as the game is large.

Time is running out, as the role-playing experience of the year is slowly but surely approaching the players. From March 23, Mass Effect: Andromeda will be available in Europe, but buyers of the game can already start downloading it in advance. Some are even allowed to play the game for 10 hours before the release – we will reveal all the details.

The preload of Mass Effect: Andromeda on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Those who pre-ordered Mass Effect via EA’s distribution platform Origin can start downloading the game with a size of 55 GB as of March 17. On the consoles PS4 and Xbox One, the game is a bit smaller and only takes up “43 GB” of storage space. Some buyers on Xbox One report that the preload has already started here, while on PlayStation 4 they are still waiting.

Early Access for Premium Customers

Electronic Arts offers a premium service with its “Origin” service, called “Origin Access” on PC. For nearly €4 per month, you can access a wide range of games without having to purchase them – as long as you are a member of this service. As a special bonus, users of Origin Access can play Mass Effect: Andromeda from March 16 for 10 hours and get a first impression of the story and multiplayer!

It should be noted that the story can only be played up to a “certain point”. The rest of the time is either used for multiplayer or to create a new character. The progress made will be carried over to the full version of the game in the event of a purchase.

The same offer also applies to customers of “EA Access”, the corresponding service for Xbox One. Only owners of a PlayStation 4 will likely have to wait until the release day before they can get their hands on the new game.
