Mass Effect: Andromeda has received a new trailer at E3. Why it is upsetting some, you can find out here.
Graphical Splendor, But Little Gameplay in the “Mass Effect: Andromeda” Trailer
Only a handful of RPGs have managed to work their way into the hearts of fans like the Mass Effect trilogy. Even though the story surrounding Commander Shepard, the Reapers, and the fate of the galaxy is actually concluded, the universe of the game world still offers numerous stories and narratives.
That is exactly why “Mass Effect: Andromeda” also takes place many years after the story of the original trilogy and places players more in the role of an explorer than the “great chosen one” who must save the entire galaxy from destruction. A first impression of what at least the graphics of the game can deliver is shown in the new trailer from E3.
Many fans were quite disappointed with the new trailer, as there are hardly any fresh gameplay scenes to see. For some, this is “proof” that the development of the title is not going well and that the release date probably cannot be met. However, BioWare does not care much about such concerns and announces on Twitter: “You can judge the game once it is released. It’s that simple.”
According to current plans, Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to release in the first quarter of 2017. So it will still take about 9 months until we can once again fight with Krogan, fall in love with Asari, and have deep discussions about life with Hanar.
Mein-MMO believes: BioWare finds itself in a difficult position after Mass Effect 3, as the original trilogy is considered by many to be the “best RPG series of all time” – so the bar is high for a new title in the same universe. Will the developers succeed in igniting the “old fire” of the game series once again? But as long as there are Asari, not everything can go wrong…
