The player count of Marvel’s Avengers has drastically dropped since its release. Players are demanding more content and are now getting just that.
What is the current status of Marvel’s Avengers? The MMO was released on September 4th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Steamcharts shows that player numbers on Steam have drastically dropped in the past 30 days. They currently stand at 3,218 concurrent players, with a peak of 9,077. Marvel’s Avengers started with 28,145 players.
The reason is partly the technical state of the game. There are still some bugs. Additionally, players are complaining about the almost non-existent loot in the game. It is also criticized that there is too little endgame content.

What is changing now? On yesterday, October 14th, Patch 1.3.3 was released. This brought, like the previous update, a series of bug fixes. Additionally, new content is included, which was not immediately available.
This content involves a new outpost of the SHIELD organization. The Substation Zero investigates temporal anomalies around the world. You can find the outpost on the War Table in the Northwest Pacific.
The outpost features new Tachyon Rift missions, aimed at experienced players with at least Power Level 140. The missions rotate daily. During these assignments, you will encounter new characters and experience further stories surrounding the Avengers.
The missions have a timer and it is your task to reach the objective within the given time. Along the way, you can extend the timer by passing certain objects. During the assignments, your hero takes constant damage, but heroic energy is increased.
When will the new content be available? Although the patch was released yesterday, you can only play the new content starting today, October 15th. They should be unlocked throughout the day.
What about loot? In this area as well, the developers are adding with the new patch. Because through the Tachyon Rift missions, you now have a chance to acquire the valuable and powerful Cosmic Gear.
