Marvel Heroes Omega, the planned PlayStation 4 version of Marvel Heroes, is not intended to come at the expense of the PC version. The developers at Gazillion Entertainment therefore promise overtime to keep both versions up to date.
Marvel Heroes, the superhero action RPG MMO created by Diablo creator David Brevik, is expected to launch this spring on PlayStation 4. An Xbox version will follow later.
But what does this mean for the PC version, which has improved over the years and has many loyal players? Will PC players lose something if the team is now spending its time on the console?
Marvel Heroes Omega – “We are all working overtime and we love it!”
Such fears and concerns are, according to David Von Dorman, the boss of Gazillion, unfounded. In an emotional announcement, the studio head wrote that Gazillion is equally developing the PC version and the PS4 version and is putting a lot of love into each project.
The entire team is working hard on the PC and console versions and ensuring that both meet the players’ expectations. Therefore, overtime and weekend work is the norm at Gazillion. But if you are working in a great team on a project that you care about, then it’s not work, it’s a mission!
PC players should not worry and console friends can expect a good game on the PS4 and later on the Xbox One, according to Von Dorman.
Marvel Heroes Omega – Beta, Wipe and Daredevil
So far, there are no concrete dates for the beta. However, it should start “very soon” and you will soon be able to buy a founder’s pack through the PlayStation Store to participate in the testing phase.
All beta testers will receive the hero Daredevil for free.
However, there will be a wipe after the beta, but you will be able to keep Daredevil, and your spent real money resources will be reset.
The beta and release version on the PS4 will initially only contain a part of the heroes and scenarios from the PC version. Therefore, there will only be 38 heroes (the PC version has 62). Additional content includes chapters 1 to 9, operations, Midtown patrols, the Danger Room, legendary missions and trials in “Heroic, Superheroic and Cosmic”.
