In Marvel Heroes, the Uniques are being phased out and Omega Items will be introduced soon.
The “Uniques” were the strongest items in Marvel Heroes so far. Items tailored for a specific hero, granting them special bonuses – similar to the Legendaries in Diablo 3.
But that will soon come to an end – they are completely phasing out the Uniques, which will no longer drop. Instead, they are introducing a new class called “Omegas” – these will derive their stats randomly from a pool of possible values. As an Omega-Power, they will also have a special feature that is tailored to the hero.
Marvel Heroes is currently undergoing a major overhaul. They want to revise all heroes to allow them to be played comfortably with just one action bar.
