The hack and slash Marvel Heroes 2015 is probably the game that is closest to Blizzard’s Diablo 3. The next heroes and further plans for 2015 have now been revealed.
It’s a bit strange that there is so little buzz about Marvel Heroes 2015 in our regions, while many complain that too little is happening in Blizzard’s Diablo 3. If you could explain to Diablo fans: There is a game that is quite similar to Diablo 3, but it has 48 heroes and something is always happening, probably more players would become curious.
The Diablo similarities in Marvel Heroes 2015 are not coincidental, after all, the mastermind of the first two Diablo titles, David Brevik, is behind the game, which has been gradually upgraded and polished after a botched launch. At Comic-Con in San Diego, the next six heroes were introduced, which are:
- Number 49 Ant-Man (fitting to the upcoming Marvel movie)
- Number 50 War-Machine (which they promise does not play like Iron Man)

And then in no particular order 51-54:
- Blade (Yep, the vampire killer)
- Kitty Pride
- Iron Fist
- Black Cat

For number 55, players will be allowed to vote from a selection of heroes, including
- Nick Fury
- The Green Goblin
- Magik
- Wasp
- Spider-Man (Miles Morales)
- Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)
Developer Gazillion has also revealed a series of new team-up heroes, which are basically companions:
- Carnage
- Agent Venom
- X-Force Archangel
- Spider-Gwen
A lot of new costumes will also be available. And even new activities for the game world have been revealed. They want to bring the “Limbo” in the new event “Mythic Mayhem” and establish the danger zone of the X-Men as a new playground. For that, players should be able to find CDs that contain their own scenarios.
The next major storyline is the Secret Wars. The shapeshifter Skrulls, an alien race, take on the identity of some superheroes and high-ranking officials.
And $25,000 can also be won
Currently, there is a special promotion going on in Marvel Heroes: Players can find one of five “Vibranium” tickets and redeem it for $5,000 (real money, not game money). The inspiration for the promotion comes from the “golden tickets” from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
