In the missions in Marathon, you will repeatedly have to visit a DKON. We will show you what that is and where to find the device.
What is a DKON? In various missions, you are required to deliver certain items and resources to a DKON.
You can think of a DKON as a kind of dead letterbox, but as a futuristic, technical device. It is used to transfer salvageable goods like Unstable Biomass to a distant location.
Salvageable goods are represented in the inventory by a symbol that looks like a square with an “X” inside.
Finding and Using DKON – Where is the Device?
Where can you find DKONs? You can find DKONs on every map in Marathon. Their location will be displayed on your map. So, at the beginning of a round, it’s best to take a quick look at where the nearest DKON is and mark it.
Run to the DKON marker on your map and look for a building. The DKON is either outside the building or on the roof.
How do you use a DKON? The items you need to send using a DKON are simply placed in the device’s inventory and sent off. You will no longer have them in your backpack. The task should then already be completed.
Can you use a DKON to send items to the storage? No, unfortunately that is not possible. Currently, DKONs are only for completing certain missions from factions like Traxus. You cannot send loot to your storage with a DKON to secure the items independently from extraction or to free up space in your inventory.
