The Asia classic MapleStory has released impressive numbers.
Players have spent 17,800 years in MapleStory, says an infographic now. MapleStory is a side-scroller, unusual for an MMO, which has been running in Asia since 2003. Meanwhile, the sequel MapleStory 2 has also been released.
In MapleStory, there are a variety of classes: players beat up mobs for exp as usual in RPGs and level up. The secret to success may be the super cute design of the game or the “social aspect” with parties, guilds, and mini-games.
But how cute can a game be when there are more divorced than married players?

Now, on December 15th, there will be an update allowing players to reach the “5th Job Advancement.” Looks like that’s a big deal.
