During the week of July 12 to 18, the summer lull in MMORPGs was clearly felt. The only exception is Final Fantasy XIV, which is currently experiencing a boom. We at MeinMMO have summarized all the news.
The highlights of the week: While EVE Online is currently struggling with the lowest player numbers in 15 years and other new MMORPGs like Swords of Legends Online start with rather low hype, an old MMORPG is currently enjoying great popularity:
- Big MMO streamers like Asmongold are currently trying out Final Fantasy XIV because the content from WoW does not captivate them.
- In the meantime, there were no digital versions of FFXIV available for purchase.
- In this special, we explain to you exactly why FFXIV is becoming a refuge for WoW players.
The controversy of the week: A leaker has unauthorizedly uploaded 8 hours of gameplay from the Alpha of New World. The gameplay, however, evokes mixed reactions.
The discussion of the week: Last week, Crowfall was released, but only a few were interested in the launch. However, some players are now reporting that they do not find Crowfall so bad. What are your experiences with the game?
