In Manor Lords, a player demonstrated what a good strategist he is less than a month after its release on Steam. With a square city layout, he managed to reach over 3,200 inhabitants with just a single market providing for all.
How did the player achieve that? Manor Lords has not even been out for a month, and there is already a player who has perfected his town.
Even though the game is still in Early Access, players already have many needs of the inhabitants to address in order to create large cities. The 3,200 inhabitants settled in the town of desman2k6 are all the more remarkable.
To make this work, the player devised an efficient system for how the town should function. The town was created with a square base plan.
However, the biggest challenge in the game is to keep the satisfaction of the inhabitants at 100%. To achieve this, the strategist built only a single marketplace, and it works surprisingly well.

A market for 3,200 inhabitants works
How does that work with just one market? To have even more space for inhabitants, desman2k6 built only a single market that provides space for 169 stalls. This is not only enough to supply all the inhabitants, but it also brings the satisfaction of the city’s inhabitants to 100%.
To ensure the market is as efficient as possible, the grain storages and warehouses lie directly around the market. This ensures short transport routes.
What is the goal? Anyone embarking on such a project does not do so without a plan and a goal. Desman2k6 wants to test the limits of Manor Lords. More specifically, he wanted to see how the game performs with so many inhabitants.
Desman2k6 has an RTX 2080 Ti, an Intel Core i9 9900K processor, and 32 GB of RAM installed in his computer.
He received his answer; the game runs quite well at normal speed on his system. However, once he increases the game speed, it starts to stutter more and more. At the highest speed, he experiences a significant drop in performance.
While desman2k6 seems to have built one of the more perfected cities in the game thus far, Manor Lords continues to receive updates, which mainly address problems. Just before the release of Manor Lords, however, the developer faced a challenge he could only solve with the help of others: Manor Lords has only one developer, but without secret helpers, it almost failed just before the end
