Man of Medan is coming out this month. In the trailer, the developers show how the decisions of you and your friends affect each other in co-op and how the Shared Story works.
What is Man of Medan? Supermassive Games is releasing the survival horror game “Man of Medan” at the end of August. Just like in Until Dawn, it will be scary. The story reveals that 5 friends are going on a diving trip and then encounter problems.
An adventure begins for you that you can play together with friends in co-op. In the Shared Story, you experience everything that there is in single-player mode with a partner. In Movie Night mode, you play Man of Medan like a movie night with up to 5 participants.
This is shown in the new video: In the new developer video, the team explains how the Shared Story will unfold.
The players take on the roles of 2 people from the group. Each makes decisions for their respective character.
You can be spatially separated. While one player is diving, the other can chat with NPCs on the boat. Thus, both players simultaneously experience a completely different perspective of the story. Nevertheless, the players’ decisions impact the course of the story. Both can significantly change it.
Will Man of Medan be better than Until Dawn? These 4 points speak for it.
You can hurt your friends: The decisions you or your co-op partner make can either have little or significant consequences. It’s possible that you make a choice that harms your friend, and he might even die.
In Man of Medan, all playable characters can live or die. The fate of the individuals is entirely in your hands. You decide who gets saved.
On August 30, Man of Medan will be released on Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. We have already played the game and share our impressions of the horror survival here:
