Malcolm in the Middle is an iconic TV series that depicts the everyday life of a rather unusual family. The focus of the series is Malcolm, played by Frankie Muniz. However, the filming was not always smooth, as Muniz revealed.
What is Malcolm in the Middle? The TV series aired from 2000 to 2006 and has 7 seasons. It mainly aired in Germany on Pro7 and was an important part of the afternoon programming for a long time. The focus of the series is mainly one thing: chaos.
The beauty of Malcolm in the Middle was the many arguments and the personalities of the family members. Despite all of this, there was always heart in the series and a likable family structure.
Everything was always narrated by Malcolm, played by Frankie Muniz. However, there were also problems on the set of the likable series, which is why he claims to be virtually absent from two episodes. If you are looking for more series like this, this list is worth checking out:

Muniz walked off the set in protest
Muniz gives an insight behind the scenes. Earlier this year, Frankie Muniz participated in the Australian version of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here. There he also talked about Malcolm in the Middle and a moment when he simply walked off the set, as News.com.au reports.
He explains there that he walked off the set because of the behavior of crew members. However, he does not specify whom he exactly means. Another point that irritated him was that others could not stand up for themselves.
Everyone was so afraid to stand up when certain people were controlling, rude, or disrespectful, as if they were walking on needles.

According to him, he didn’t care if he would lose the role because, as the main actor, he could afford it.
In which episodes does Malcolm not appear? The interesting thing about his story is that it is unclear which episodes he means. In episode 17 of season 4, it’s known that he does not appear, only in flashbacks that consist of old clips.
However, the second episode in which he does not appear is unclear. It may be that scenes for certain episodes were not shot on just one day, and he only meant two shooting days during his protest.
Muniz does not think much of Hollywood, as he revealed in an interview with News.com.au. Despite his success at the time, he remained down-to-earth and hated L.A., mainly because he could not just go to the grocery store there.
After Malcolm in the Middle, he tried his hand at other productions but only played small roles in films or just guest appearances in series. For a while, he was even a race car driver. Two and a Half Men is also a series that is associated with Pro7 in Germany, where completely different problems occurred: After Two and a Half Men, “Alan” would no longer work with Charlie Sheen on a series
