When is the release now scheduled? Magic: Legends is set to launch in spring 2021. The team has not yet provided a specific date.
Why was the release postponed? The action RPG Magic: Legends has completed a closed alpha. The feedback gathered from it showed the team that there are still some areas that need to be worked on before the release.

While we evaluated player feedback and saw quite a bit of positive response, we also recognized several opportunities to make impactful adjustments. These options include improvements to the player experience, loadout options, the flow of the tutorials, storytelling, and much more, to do justice to the legendary multiverse of Magic.

For this reason, we have decided to postpone the release of Magic: Legends to next spring to ensure that we can provide the best possible Magic experience.
Why could this become problematic? In spring, Amazon’s MMO New World will also be released, which online gaming fans are already waiting for.
Although New World takes a somewhat different approach than Magic: Legends and is an online RPG with PvP and survival elements instead of an action RPG, it is conceivable that both titles could clash.
When will there be more opportunities to play? As a small compensation for the longer wait for the release of Magic: Legends and to gather even more feedback, there will be another testing opportunity at the end of October.
