The fashion label of designer Louis Vuitton has launched its collection for the MOBA League of Legends (LoL). The luxury clothing was so well received despite the high prices that it sold out immediately.
What does Louis Vuitton offer? The fashion label announced a collaboration with Riot Games back in September. There were to be exclusive skins for the MOBA League of Legends, as well as a LoL-inspired clothing collection, the LVxLoL Collection.
Additionally, a special trophy travel case was designed, intended as a prize for the LoL World Championship 2019.
The champions of FunPlus Phoenix all received a special LoL watch as a gift.
Expensive Designer Clothing
What does the LVxLoL Collection offer? The fashion collection includes clothing inspired by LoL. This includes:
- An LVxLoL Short Sleeve T-Shirt featuring champion Qiyana for $670
- An LVxLoL Boite Chapeau Souple handbag for $2,600
- The LVxLoL LV Archlight sneakers for $1,140
- The LVxLoL Long Hooded Parka for $4,450
- The LVxLoL Bubble Skirt for $2,680 (featured image)
On the Louis Vuitton website, you can find a range of other luxury clothes and accessories in LoL style. All at very high prices.
When did sales start? Sales began yesterday, December 9th.
Items for Designer Fans
How are the clothing items received? Within just one hour of sales starting, all products in the European market were sold out. Items are still available in the USA.
Orders even had to be canceled because far too many people wanted the collection.
However, there was also criticism of the design. Not everyone found the patterns stylish. It must be said that the clothing is not really aimed at LoL players, but rather at Louis Vuitton’s regular clientele, who love just these patterns and designs.
Who buys these products then? Given the prices, it is to be expected that relatively few regular LoL players will purchase the clothing and accessories. Louis Vuitton is aimed more at an exclusive, wealthier clientele, and new collections are usually sold out very quickly or at least extremely popular.
What’s next for the collaboration? Louis Vuitton and Riot have already announced that further skins will be released next year. Champion Senna, for example, is getting a Prestige Skin designed by the fashion brand.
