Until Gearscore 1,370, Lost Ark will comparatively guide you and show you the way. At least the advancement in Gearscore always works the same way. But what happens next when you reach 1,370? We from MeinMMO make it easier for you to get into the endgame.
What is special about 1,370? No matter if you are Gearscore 302 or 1,302, leveling in Lost Ark works exactly the same from Tier 1 to Tier 3. You reach a certain item level, get the armor that you can obtain from then on, and bring it to +15.
Then you are high enough to drop the next armor, which is back to +0, and you bring it up to +15 again, until you get to the next armor. This works excellently up to Gearscore 1,370, just not after that.
You don’t unlock a new chaos dungeon that provides you with new gear, and with your blue or purple gear, it simply stops at +15. But don’t worry, you won’t be stranded at 1,370; the progress just works differently.
To face Kakul-Saydon, you need Gearscore 1,475:
Gearscore 1,370 – But what’s next?
What to do from 1,370? One thing doesn’t change; you need to switch your equipment. The only thing that changes is how you get it. Because to progress from 1,370, you need legendary gear. You have three different sets with different bonuses to choose from.
Once you’ve snagged these legendary sets, you’ll quickly notice that they have a base Gearscore of 1,340 instead of 1,302 like your current gear. So go to the upgrader and transfer the +15 from your current equipment to the new legendary armor.
Don’t be alarmed, because although your Gearscore stays at 1,370 once everything is transferred, your gear is now only +6 and no longer +15. From now on, you must reach +15 on your legendary gear again. Once that’s done, you’ll be item level 1,415 and can face the first Legion Raid.
Where do you get legendary gear? There are 3 legendary armor sets that you can get from 1,370. There are two sources for this:
- The hard mode of the Abyss Dungeon Orehas Well
- The Abyss Raid Argos
You progress easiest by completing the hard mode of Orehas Well once and picking up only the legendary weapon there. The set from Orehas Well has hardly any relevant set bonuses, while the set from Argos has a strong 5-piece bonus. It’s advisable to get the most expensive item from the 6-piece set of Orehas Well so you don’t have to farm Argos for it.
The Abyss Raid Argos then secures you the other 5 pieces, but you face a big grind here. Because at 1,370, you can only complete the first of three phases of the raid and thus receive only a third of the rewards. A bit of gold can help here.
Buying Argos pays off: If you absolutely want to earn everything yourself, you can certainly do that, but nowadays, it can be very easy and especially cheap to buy your way through this tedious leveling phase. Especially for Argos, numerous so-called “buses” are offered in the party finder.
There, players with high Gearscore sell you all three phases of the raid, currently in EU Central usually between 700 and 1,000 gold. This is especially worthwhile because at the end, you earn 2,700 gold from Argos.
You thus earn your legendary gear, jewelry, experience, and even gold, despite paying gold.
In total, you need 2 complete runs of all Argos phases to gather the 5 missing set pieces. So it will take at least 2 weeks since you can only defeat Argos once a week. Which of the two sets you buy depends on your class. Websites like maxroll.gg can help you with that decision.
Gearscore 1,415 – What to do?
What to do from 1,415? Once you have your legendary set at +15, you have reached Gearscore 1,415. But unlike before, you no longer need new equipment. Instead, you need to continue enhancing your existing legendary pieces.
This will be expensive, and the probabilities are very low, but currently, this is the only way to progress in the game. However, starting from Gearscore 1,415 with Valtan and from 1,430 with Vykas, new opportunities open up for you to acquire upgrade materials and gold.
Only from Gearscore 1,445 do you switch your equipment again, as you will unlock the Relic equipment, which is even stronger than legendary.
Unlike usual, however, your upgrade level does not change here. Legendary and Relic sets share the same Gearscore, only offering better set bonuses and stronger base stats. To obtain a full Relic set, you must defeat both Valtan and Vykas multiple times.
Focus on jewelry: However, starting from item level 1,415, you unlock something no less exciting, namely Relic jewelry and Relic ability stones, with which you can rework your engravings. Depending on how much gold you are willing and able to spend, it is now possible to achieve up to 5 engravings at level 3.
If you don’t have that much gold, you should first aim for 4 engravings of level 3. This is possible because Relic jewelry from level 1,415 can give you a bonus of up to 5 slots per engraving.
You can now focus on improving your engravings and jewelry to get more out of your character. However, be aware that before you build and buy, it is not possible to reach 5 engravings at level 3 unless you have at least one of the engravings you can equip at legendary, that is, x12.
If you don’t have that or it’s too expensive, you should focus on a solid 4×3 build. Make sure not to activate any negative engravings. Engravings with negative effects, such as Grudge, Reckless Stalwart Weapon, or Cursed Doll, should only be played at level 3.
