In a new video, Lost Ark introduces the main class of the Sorceress. In the polls, the Summoner, one of the subclasses of the Sorceress, is very popular. We at MeinMMO show you what’s in store.
What is it about? The developers of Lost Ark regularly present their classes in exciting introduction videos. We have already seen the Warrior, and now it’s the Sorceress’s turn.
Generally speaking, the Sorceress is what you imagine a Sorceress to be. She has low durability, stays at a distance, and unleashes devastating spells on her enemies.
How do classes work in Lost Ark? In Lost Ark, you can choose one of five basic classes. From level 10, you can then choose a subclass that you will keep until the end. This brings Lost Ark to a total of 21 classes. (in Korea – we will initially only have 15) In the new video, both subclasses of the Sorceress were introduced in detail.
Bard or Summoner? – These are the subclasses of the Sorceress
What can the Summoner do? The first subclass, and the most popular class among you, is the Summoner. Armed with elemental energy, she can summon various monsters to heat things up for your opponents.
With one ability, she can even let a whole herd of horses trample over her enemies. Another skill summons a bird that traps her foes in a tornado of wind. Additionally, she can summon a gigantic spear of fire from the heavens.
The Summoner is a classic damage dealer, one of the character classes responsible for damage in endgame content, and ranks among the top classes.
What can the Bard do? Every MMORPG should have a Bard. But even if you disagree, the Bard class in Lost Ark might convince you. With her musical instrument, she can summon powerful spells to strengthen allies and also deal damage.
Despite her generally high damage output, we can see the Bard as a support class. She shares this role with the Paladin, a specialization of the Warrior. Since there are only two support classes in the game, you will always find a group as a Bard.

What will be the 15th class in our version?
Why are there only 2 subclasses of the Sorceress? Those who were paying attention will notice that the Warrior has been given three subclasses, while the Sorceress only has two. This is a peculiar feature of our EU version of the game, as both the Korean and Russian servers can look forward to a third subclass, the Card Sorceress Arcana.
Amazon has already confirmed that Arcana will not appear in the western version of Lost Ark for now, even though she has been in the game from the beginning in Korea.
Will the Sorceress be the 15th class? We already know that Lost Ark will launch in the West with 15 classes, but currently, only 14 are known. What follows now is speculation, but: The Korean version of Lost Ark will soon receive its 21st class with the Sorceress.
Of course, it could also be one of the other 5 missing classes that the colleagues at GameStar introduce to you.
The Sorceress is a kind of classic elemental mage. Many players currently suspect that we will also be able to play the Sorceress from the start, and that she could be the 15th class for us. This could also explain why the 15th class is currently still unknown – because it doesn’t actually exist yet.
