Today, August 10th, the weekly update comes to Lost Ark. This week it focuses on bug fixes, but it will not fix the Powerpass error. What you can expect this week is explained here by MeinMMO.
Update 1:19 PM: The servers are back online and after you have downloaded 376 MB on Steam, you can set off for Arkesia again!
What’s included in the update? In fact, there isn’t much to expect from the weekly update today. An displaying error with the runes of Artillerists and Shadowhunters will be fixed, as well as a bug that showed a lock symbol on unlocked inventory slots. There’s not much more for you this week.
More interestingly, what is not included in the update is the fix for the broken Powerpasses. You haven’t been able to use these for 3 weeks now, which is making players increasingly impatient.
The patch notes state that Amazon apologizes for the missing feature and also for the fact that the passes are still disabled. They want to share more information as soon as they are able to.
What is disabled? Currently, you cannot use Powerpasses. It doesn’t matter which pass it is or where it comes from. The purchased passes do not work either, just like those you receive for completing the story.
Speaking of receiving: The function to gift something to other players via the real money shop is also currently inactive and will remain disabled with today’s update.

Lost Ark is offline today, August 10th, for 4 hours
How long is the server status offline? As usual, the update starts at 9:00 AM German time. From that point, the game servers will go offline and are expected to remain down for about 4 hours this week.
If everything goes according to plan, the servers should be back online at 1 PM and open the gates to Arkesia for you, just without Powerpasses. We will keep you updated in this article about changes and will update it as soon as the servers are back online.
Since this week is only a small update, the download on Steam should be relatively small.
“If I were a new player, I would be gone by now”
How does the community react? They are quite annoyed so far. The news that the Powerpasses remain offline spreads like wildfire on reddit and triggers heated discussions. Many players are demanding that the passes should at least be reactivated for old accounts, as they would be “safe” from bots.
Others mainly think of new players, as Powerpasses are an important mechanic to allow new and returning players to catch up, which has simply not been working for almost 3 weeks now.
In a reddit thread on the subject, people are discussing, and we would like to let them have their say here:
- FantasticBreakfast46 says: “It’s crazy that it hasn’t worked for 3 weeks. If I were a new player or returning because of the event […] I would be gone by now.”
- ticklemuffins is also annoyed: “It’s ridiculous to make an event for Gearscore 1,302 and keep the Powerpass, which takes you there, turned off for most of the event. I hope we at least get a good compensation for that.”
- kirtar takes it with humor: “I am both amused and annoyed if they don’t fix it by next week.”
- SolomonRed writes: “Turning off the Powerpasses was more harmful to the game than letting the bots exploit them.”
