The Scrapper in Lost Ark is a martial artist who quickly punches her opponents. She is easy to play and offers beginner-friendly gameplay, but there are a few things to keep in mind. MeinMMO author Anny Bader has taken a closer look at her and explains what to pay attention to.
The Scrapper is a beginner-friendly subclass of the martial artist. She wields a weapon on each arm and strikes with her fists. She is one of the few classes without mana consumption, as her identity regenerates abilities.
In battle, you position yourself as a Scrapper behind the opponent, as you deal more damage from behind and your attacks have limited range. Therefore, while you are limited in positioning, you compensate for this as a Scrapper with a lot of agility.
Your dodge skill differs from other classes, as you can press it twice in a row. This doubles the cooldown from five to ten seconds.
Additionally, the class has good crowd control (CC), allowing you to stun your opponents beautifully. However, your super armor is low, which means you can quickly get knocked down as the Scrapper.
On the Tier List from MeinMMO, the Scrapper is rated A-tier in PvE. She is less suitable for PvP, where she belongs to C-tier.
This is how the Scrapper plays
This is the special ability of the Scrapper: Her identity consists of two energy bars, one yellow and one green. Accordingly, there are green and yellow abilities that use the respective energy.
Balance is important: The bars fill each other, meaning yellow attacks fill the green bar and vice versa. Yellow energy also regenerates over time, while green energy does not.
Yellow attacks are weaker and have a short cooldown, so they can be spammed. That’s why they are also called stamina skills. The green attacks, on the other hand, are called shock skills. They have longer charge times but deal significantly more damage.
All abilities of the Scrapper
Yellow energy
Dragon’s Arrival: Concentrate energy before jumping at the opponent.
Instant Strike: Lightning strike that stuns opponents.
Pounding Fists: Hold briefly to execute a hail of punches.
Iron Cannon Punch: Elbow strike. Then you turn and hit again. Press again to execute a powerful blow.
Earthquake Chain: Stomp on the ground, knock opponents down.
Chain of Resonance: Shockwave that deals damage and then pulls opponents to you.
Continuous Thrust: Move forward while attacking. Press and hold again to attack continuously.
Charging Strike: Three attacks while charging forward. Then comes a final attack with a gauntlet.
Whirling Tiger Claw: Two quick strikes that knock opponents down.
Crushing Smite: Three shockwaves in front of you.
Green energy
Chain Destruction Fist: You pound the ground multiple times, dealing damage. The radius increases with each strike.
Critical Hit: Shock energy attack. Hold and overload to deal even more damage.
Judgment: Jump into the air, strike down, and slam opponents to the ground.
Roundup Sweeper: Diagonal fist strike.
Supernova: Explosion that pulls in opponents. After that, you strike them.
Death Rattle: Release all green energy to deal damage. The more is charged, the greater the damage.
True Uppercut: Jump forward into the air and push opponents away. Use the ability again to attack again. Previously knocked opponents take 50% more damage.
Torn Punch: Move 3m forward and deal damage. The fuller the green bar, the more damage.
Awakenings
Unbeatable Dragon King: Attack at the destination. You move towards it while two black dragons rise beside you and destroy your target.
Myst. Art: Devastating Shockwave: Tear the ground open 14m wide, deal damage, and knock opponents away.
The Scrapper in the Level Process
How should I distribute my first skill points? It is important when distributing the points that you never need to raise the skill levels higher than level 10. Skill Level 4 is required for the first tripod, Skill Level 7 for the second, and Skill Level 10 for the third.
Level 12: Put 4 points each into Charging Strike and Dragon’s Arrival to utilize the tripod Great Agility.
Level 14: 4 points into Death Rattle.
Level 16: Now put 20 points into Earthquake Chain for a lot of AoE damage.
Level 20: 20 points into Chain Destruction Fist.
Level 26: More points into Earthquake Chain, now a total of 48.
Level 32: You should now also have 48 points into Chain Destruction Fist.
Level 40: 48 points into True Uppercut, for even more AoE damage.
Level 45: A total of 48 points into Death Rattle.
Level 50: Finally, 48 points into Roundup Sweeper.
By the way, you can reset skill points anytime for free if you don’t like the play style. For example, you can prefer Demonic Clone during the leveling phase and replace the Cruel Strike.
The Best Builds in Endgame
In the endgame, you choose, like with most other classes, between two class engravings. This decides your playstyle. With the Scrapper, you choose whether to focus on the yellow or the green bar.
Class Engraving A: Taijutsu
What does the engraving do? With this class engraving, you choose the yellow energy, i.e., the stamina skills. These deal 30% more damage, while the shock attacks deal 30% less.
The automatic regeneration of yellow energy increases to 300% at level 1 of the class engraving, and at level 3 even to 600%. You can therefore spam your attacks permanently.
You are very mobile, as you move forward with many of the stamina attacks. Additionally, as mentioned above, you can use the dodge skill twice. It is therefore easy to stay close to the target with the Scrapper. Furthermore, some attacks deal more damage when performed from behind.
You need to do this because your attacks have no great range. Therefore, you should take a position close to the opponent. One advantage of this, coupled with your mobility, is that you can counter excellently with the Scrapper. You can read how this works in this guide.
What other engravings do I use? In addition to the class engraving, Adrenaline is suitable. This engraving increases your crit rate, which is useful since you can use many attacks, increasing the critical chance of all of them.
Later, Master of Ambush becomes worthwhile, as some of your attacks benefit from being executed from behind.
If you want to read more about how the engraving system works, you can take a look at our engraving guide.
Which collectible cards are important? To further increase your crit rate, you should initially focus on the Howling Rock card set. It consists of Armel, Seria, Solas, King Thirain, Kharmine, and Delain Armel.
The optimal set is Light of Redemption, which, however, consists of rare cards. Thus, it will be expensive later, but is worth it. The set consists of Shandi, Azena, and Innana, Nineveh, Wei, Balthorr, and Thirain. With a 6-piece set with 30-part awakening, the cards give you 8% more holy damage and convert all your damage into holy damage.
Which abilities do I use?

For awakening, you use Unbeatable Dragon King.
What does the rotation look like? Your goal is to continually execute attacks and have as little downtime as possible. Additionally, you should use the buff from Charging Strike and the debuff from Judgment as frequently as possible.
You start with Charging Strike to utilize the three seconds of damage buff from Prepare Attack to use Iron Cannon Punch and Pounding Fists.
Then you apply the debuff to your opponent with Judgment to use Death Rattle, Instant Strike, and Dragon’s Arrival.
Now most abilities are likely on cooldown. A good opportunity to use Continuous Thrust until the other skills are charged. Before that, use the buff from Charging Strike again.
Class Engraving B: Shock Training
What does the engraving do? This class engraving focuses on the green bar, which means shock abilities. Your shock skills deal 10% more damage and the bar automatically regenerates by 2% per second. At level three of the class engraving, that’s 20% more damage and 4% per second.
You still need to position yourself close to the opponent with this version of the Scrapper, as your abilities have limited range. The green skills also have long animations, which makes you very vulnerable while executing them.
Before the May update, you had to play many yellow skills to be able to use the greens. That’s different now. With the shock specialization, you automatically regenerate shock energy.
Additionally, the class engraving does not cause your yellow skills to deal less damage. Therefore, keep four of them initially and later three in your rotation.
For stats, focus on specialization and crit.
What other engravings do I use? Adrenaline works as a second engraving to increase your crit. After that, you can learn Master of Ambush, as some of your abilities deal more damage when used from behind.
To ease your rotation with Shock Training a bit, the engraving Spirit Absorption is also useful. This gives you 15% more attack and movement speed.
What collectible cards are important? The collectible cards do not differ from the other class engraving. To further increase your crit rate, you should initially focus on the Howling Rock card set. It consists of Armel, Seria, Solas, King Thirain, Kharmine, and Delain Armel.
The optimal one is also the set Light of Redemption, which, however, consists of rare cards. Thus, it will be expensive later, but is worth it.

![]() | Chain Destruction Fist | 10 | Endless Wrath Persistence Quake |
![]() | Supernova | 10 | Quick Preparation Piercing Strike Inverted Strike |
For awakening, you use Unbeatable Dragon King.
What does the rotation look like? To get the most burst damage out of the Scrapper, you focus on filling the green bar quickly and using Supernova and Death Rattle as often as possible. It is important that you do not use Death Rattle with less than 76% energy, as you will lose too much energy and deal too little damage with it.
- You start with Charging Strike and use the damage buff to then use Supernova.
- Then follow Crushing Smite, by which you should have gathered enough energy to use Death Rattle.
- With Wild Tiger Claw and Charging Strike, you charge your bar again. Then you use Chain Destruction Fist.
Ultimately, you always use one to two yellow attacks to have enough energy for the greens. This way, you maintain balance, which has become easier since the update. For the most powerful green attacks, use Charging Strike beforehand for the three-second damage buff.
What do you think of the Scrapper? Have you played her yet? Which class engraving have you chosen? Would you prefer to spam attacks with her and use the yellow attacks, or use the green attacks skillfully and deal enormous damage to the opponent?
