What is the problem with Lost Ark? Initially, the game was flooded. Many queues and matchmaking issues were a result of the huge rush for the new MMORPG. While Amazon is gradually getting a handle on these problems, another plague is spreading.
Especially in the starting areas up to level 30, many places and items are overrun by bots. They move faster than you can ride on your mount, and they can even teleport back and forth if necessary. It’s usually Berserkers traveling in packs, and they all look the same.
Although Amazon has already reacted and banned over a million bot accounts, the bot problem in Lost Ark has hardly improved. That’s why some players have now declared their own hunt for the bots, armed with their instruments and a very specific song.

How are players combating the bots? They use secret passages that open for all players in the vicinity to capture the bots. This works with the Song of Resonance, which makes these secret doors visible as soon as you play it.
A user on reddit has identified the secret passage in Medric Monastery as the optimal bot trap, as it is practically located on the main road of the map, ensuring that the bots walk almost automatically into the musical trap.
In this secret passage, there are actually 2 Mokoko seeds hidden, which you can only reach once you have obtained the Song of Resonance and return to play it there. It leads you to a basement where the bots then become helpless and stand still.
Can you do this too? Yes, and it’s quite simple. Once you have farmed 16,500 pirate coins so that you can buy the Song of Resonance on Peyto Island, you are ready. Now you can diligently go hunting for bots and capture them. If you’re already at it, you can also report them directly to Amazon so that they have to face the next ban wave.
Just head to Medric Monastery, play the song in front of the secret passage, and wait. You can literally watch as the bots walk into the trap one by one and disappear. You can then follow them and immediately report the stranded automatons in-game.
On the map, you will find the spot where you can play the song. Medrick Monastery is located in West Luterra between Lakebar and Bilbrin Forest, so every bot must pass through this area.

How are the fans reacting? On reddit, the thread has gone viral. Within a day, it received over 3,750 upvotes and 245 comments. Most of these are positive, as a large part of the community is annoyed by the bots. Therefore, having a way to fight back is appealing to many.
Some even suggest sending a counter-bot into the race that should continuously play the song to keep the secret passage open at all times. However, this would, of course, be against the rules of Lost Ark and would only shift the problem.
Others are simply happy that such a simple tactic can work. Some fans report that they were able to capture over 20 bots in the secret passage in just minutes. Many fans, however, merely celebrate the brilliant idea in the comments.
