The Korean version of Lost Ark has more classes to choose from than is the case in the West. Now, the MMORPG has confirmed that the next new class will come to us in September. However, possibly without a power pass. We at MeinMMO summarize.
What was announced? The community manager Roxx officially announced in the Lost Ark forum that the next class for the MMORPG will come to the West in September. She confirmed this again in a comment.
Lost Ark had already revealed that a new class is planned every two months, but having certainty about it seems to reassure the community. Although we do not yet know which class it is, Roxx caused confusion with another statement in the same post.
It was mentioned that Amazon does not plan to integrate a power pass into the game for every new class. This surprises some fans, as with the lancer and the arcanist, two new, time-limited passes came into the game.
So far, we only know that the class will not be the painter or aeromancer. Amazon announced that they only want to release the classes that have been in the game longer.
But it will still take a while before the new aeromancer appears for us:
What is a power pass? The passes are a mechanic that provides you with a sort of starter help for alternate characters. If you have had a character with a gear score of 1,302 before, you can use the latest power pass to immediately bring a second character up to the same item level.
These passes are usually time-limited and not tied to the newest classes, but they have mostly come along with the release of new classes. We have explained how the passes work in detail in an article for you.

How does the community react? The community is very divided. Currently, fans are discussing whether a power pass is needed for every class or if it is too much to expect that at all.
One side says it becomes unfair. Other people should not decide which class gets a power pass and which does not. This disadvantages players who are specifically looking forward to a class and might miss out.
Moreover, fans say it is unacceptable that the passes expire after an event period. The argument here is that at least they could hold onto their pass until the class comes that they want. However, that is not the case.
The other side does not see Amazon as having any obligation. For some fans, it is clear that the passes are a gift that saves a lot of time. People should be grateful that there are power passes at all and say that many MMORPGs would charge money for the same service.
