The Destroyer will be the next class released in the MMORPG Lost Ark. It is scheduled to appear in May. In Korea, the Destroyer was completely revamped in April 2022. It is now confirmed that we will receive the class directly in the enhanced version.
What kind of class is this? The Destroyer is a warrior and is considered one of the slower classes, although not as slow as the Gunlancer. You swing a huge warhammer and charge Gravity Cores with your attacks, which you consume with other skills.
With its second special ability, you can slow enemies around you and reduce their attack speed.
The Destroyer is among the strongest DPS classes in Korea and has also received a rework that has made it even stronger.
When will the Destroyer arrive for us? The release of the new class Destroyer is planned for May according to the roadmap. It is speculated in the forum that it will be introduced with the weekly patch on May 19. However, there is no official statement yet.

The West gets the Destroyer directly with a major rework
What is the rework about? In Korea, the Destroyer recently received a major overhaul. The class was significantly strengthened overall:
- The randomness has been removed from its mechanics regarding Gravity Cores. While there was previously a chance to get an additional second core, many skills now grant two Gravity Cores directly.
- Correspondingly, many skills have received additional effects, some of which even increase the slow attack speed.
- Some mechanics required correct positioning at the boss. These have been removed, allowing for more freedom now.
- The class received a taunt.
Overall, these changes are seen as a major buff for the class.
Are we getting the better version directly? Yes. Community Manager Roxx confirmed this in the official forum (via LostArk). Some also see the lack of contradiction to the statement that the class will come on May 19 (title of the thread) as an indirect confirmation of the release date of the class.
Players are really excited about this. They are not only looking forward to the class but are also thrilled that balance changes are being implemented so promptly.
However, many players now also wish for adjustments for their favorite classes. Some of them have also already undergone significant changes in Korea that have not yet been adopted in the West.
