In Lost Ark, you not only receive your own fortress with a house where you can engage in housing activities throughout the story, but you also get an entire island. But how do you even get there? We at MeinMMO explain it to you.
What is your island? Once you have unlocked it, your island with your fortress on it is available as a retreat for all your characters. But you can do more there than just hang out with your friends.
You can also craft healing potions, explore, mine resources, and even go hunting. Additionally, it is possible to decorate your entire island and add more buildings and items. So you can really make it cozy and even get some benefits out of it.
Furthermore, there is the Dispatch Station on your island from which you send your crew on self-built ships to complete tasks for you. They give you loot and can even replace your dailies.
How do you get to your island? For the first time, you arrive at your island and thus in your fortress right after you have unlocked it. This happens as soon as you have freed Luterra and King Thirain gifts it to you. Afterwards, you receive a tutorial quest that will lead you to your island for the first time.
To do this, you use the Song of Hearth and Home, which teleports you directly to your fortress at any time, allowing you to manage your island. You unlock this song for all characters on your account after completing this quest.
This is also important because you will no longer receive this quest with a second character. So you will not be shown how to enter your island anymore.
How do you get other characters onto your island? You only need to play the Song of Hearth and Home, which you have unlocked for the entire roster. Additionally, you do not need to reach level 27 or Luterra with a new character; you can use it directly at level 10.
Just press F2, select the song, and press play. Just a few seconds later, your character will be on your island and can benefit from all its advantages.
How do you get to your fortress? In Lost Ark, “island” and “fortress” are two German words for the same thing. When the game refers to your fortress, it means your island. Strictly speaking, you could also refer to your fortress as your main house, which is located centrally in the middle of your island.
