To craft the Expert Tools in Lost Ark, you need an Expert Crafting Set. We at MeinMMO show you where you can farm it.
The Expert Tools are the Tier-4 tools, which means they are legendary. At first, you receive the green Tier-1 tool; you have to craft the rest yourself in your stronghold.
To craft the Expert Tools, you need an Expert Crafting Set per tool, among other items.
How do I get the sets? There are secret dungeons in Lost Ark that you must traverse to obtain an Expert Crafting Set. You can get the maps through the main quest, through Chaos Portals, or you can craft them yourself in your stronghold.
As a reward, you receive a chest. Inside, there could be either an Expert Crafting Set or an Adept Crafting Set. Both are rare, so you will likely have to run more than one dungeon.
Alternatively, you can buy the Crafting Set on the market for about 1,500 gold.
What else do I need? To craft the legendary tools, you first need the blueprint. You can purchase it from the NPC Jeniff in your stronghold for 250 Adventurer Seals per tool blueprint.
In your workshop under the “Tools” tab, you will now craft the tools. Besides the Expert Crafting Set, you will also need 28x Tool Crafting Parts, 30x Strong Iron Ore, 20x Rare Relic, and 32x Ancient Relic. The crafting costs 250 gold and takes nearly six hours.
What do better tools bring? With each rarity tier, your tools have more bonuses. These include, for example, an increased chance of finding rare items, faster gathering, and – which is very useful – the effect that you are no longer interrupted while crafting when you are attacked by enemies.
It is worth crafting the higher-tier tools instead of sticking with the green Tier-1 tools.
