In Lost Ark you reach level 50, the so-called soft cap, in a relatively short time. The journey to level 60, however, takes several weeks or even months. We at MeinMMO will reveal how you quickly reach level 50 and what comes next.
How to quickly reach level 50? You achieve the soft cap relatively simply by completing quests:
- Complete all quests with an orange marker – these are the main story quests
- Complete all quests with a purple and blue marker – these give you stats and skill points
- Complete all quests with a red marker – these are quests that disappear after a certain time. These have the highest priority
Once you have unlocked the ship journey, you should stick to the prescribed route: Tortoyk -> Anikka -> Arthetine. After that, you only need to go to North Vern. There you will receive about 33% of the last level. So make sure you already have level 49 and 66% experience beforehand.
By completing in North Vern, you will have reached level 50.
Three important tips for leveling:
- Activate the Triporters in the world. To do this, you need to select them with a mouse click. Don’t forget this, as the teleports can save you some running time.
- Only complete the required dungeons on easy difficulty. The dungeons give hardly any experience points, so spending a long time in them is not worthwhile.
- Initially invest your skill points only in damage. You can respec for free later to focus more on auras and group support.
How long does it take to reach level 50? Experienced players will need between 12 and 15 hours for the journey. This assumes, however, that no quest texts are read and tasks are completed mindlessly.
Beginners and lore fans should probably plan around 20 hours.
Quick leveling makes you miss out on a lot
What do players miss out on when leveling quickly? In addition to the three mentioned quest types, there are two more:
- Quests with a pink marker are related to the NPCs and the flirt system. They bring useful silver, experience points, and are needed to take these NPCs to your own island later for assignments.
- Quests with a yellow marker are classic side quests. Some of them you will have to complete in Arthetine.
However, there is no reason to rush to level 50. One misses the story and cheats oneself out of a piece of the content in the game.
How to level other characters to 50? Theoretically, you can endure the leveling process with other classes afterward. You will experience exactly the same quests and tasks again. However, there are several ways to skip this.
On the one hand, Amazon has given us two power passes. These will take you directly to level 50 with two more characters if you play correctly. You can purchase additional power passes for real money.
Alternatively, you can level new characters on your own island. This costs 600 gold, an in-game currency, and 8 hours of waiting time. More about this here:

What happens after reaching level 50? After reaching the soft cap, you have the next major milestones at level 55 and level 60 ahead of you. However, from now on, you will need so much experience that you will spend weeks on level-ups.
However, the additional levels bring you skill points that allow you to further enhance your abilities. This is important for later dungeon and raid levels.
You level up after level 50 mainly through new quests in the main story and through side quests and dungeons. Grinding monsters brings almost nothing in Lost Ark.
