With the May update, Lost Ark brings the Destroyer as the fourth subclass of Warrior into the game. MeinMMO author Anny Bader has looked at it closely and explains what you need to know.
As a Destroyer, you deal high burst damage while having strong defense. Since the class moves very slowly, you can stand still during some attacks. Additionally, some of your attacks generate a shield to defend yourself even better.
It is considered popular on Korean and Russian servers because it can quickly take down bosses and has some of the best crowd control. Therefore, the Destroyer is also suitable for PvP and is a valuable group member.

This is how the Destroyer plays
This is the special ability of the Destroyer: The skills are divided into Gravitational Release Skills (purple) and Concentration Skills (blue). By performing blue attacks, you charge spheres with which the purple skills do more damage, depending on the number of charged spheres.
When using the Gravitational Release Skills, you charge a bar that enhances your blue skills. You need this bar to put your Destroyer into god mode, which increases its power even further.
All Skills of the Destroyer:
Concentration Skills
- Earth Shatter: Slam your hammer down and create a rock. Hit it to generate a shockwave that deals damage and stuns enemies.
- Gravitational Impact: Slam your hammer downwards and create energy that pulls enemies towards you. Attack them 8 times and let them explode at the end.
- Gravitational Power: Generate gravitational energy in a straight line in front of you, attracting enemies while you attack 7 times.
- Colossus: Deal damage through a shockwave. Then leap into the air and drop your hammer on enemies. Counter-attack.
- Power Strike: Slam down 3 times.
- Powerful Shoulders: Duck and charge forward, attacking 4 times. Usable as a combo.
- Endure Pain: A roar that damages enemies near you. You then gain knockback immunity and take 15% less damage for 5 seconds.
- Heavy Crusher: Slam your hammer down.
- Sprint Shatter: Hold to sprint forward and attack enemies 7 times.
- Jump Slamming Strike: Jump to a target location within 10 meters and slam your hammer down there.
Gravitational Release Skills
- Earth Wave now replaces “One-Man Army” and does not need to be charged.
- Earthquake Hammer: Slam the hammer down and create a cone-shaped wall that deals damage.
- Earth Eater: Slam down behind you. Then turn 3 times, dealing damage multiple times.
- Gravitational Compression: Generate a gravitational wave. Hold for 2 seconds to create a black hole. This explodes when you release the hold button. Holding maximizes damage.
- Neutralizer: Slam the ground and create a shockwave. Press again to unleash an even stronger wave.
- Perfect Swing: Charge for 2 seconds to charge forward and deal damage. Overcharge to enhance effects.
- Full Swing: Swing your hammer behind you and spin completely while attacking 3 times. Overcharge for more damage.
The Destroyer in the Leveling Process
It’s important when distributing points that you never need to raise the skill levels higher than level 10. Skill Level 4 is needed for the first tripod, Skill Level 7 for the second, and Skill Level 10 for the third.
We will add the leveling process for the class as soon as the Destroyer is playable on European servers.
The Best Builds in Endgame
In the endgame, you choose between two class engravings, just as with most other classes. You either focus on crit or defense.
Class Engraving A: Hammer of Rage
What does the engraving do? This increases your crit rate with each charged sphere through the blue concentration skills. Additionally, your crit damage is increased by 15% at level 3 of the engraving.
For the stats, you naturally focus on crit.
What other engravings do I use? If you chose Hammer of Rage, Super Charge is worthwhile because some of your attacks need to charge to deal more damage. Additionally, the developers are working, for example, with the new skill Earth Wave, to give the Destroyer more build freedom and to make Super Charge not a necessity.
Additionally, Master Slayer is advantageous since you must perform numerous attacks from the front to deal more damage.
Which collectible cards are important? To further increase your crit rate, you should initially focus on the card set Howling Rocks. It consists of Armel, Seria, Solas, King Thirain, Kharmine, and Delain Armel.
The optimal set is the Light of Redemption set, although it consists of rare cards. Thus, it will get expensive later, but it’s worth it. The set consists of Shandi, Azena, and Innana, Nineveh, Wei, Balthorr, and Thirain. A 6-card set with 30 awakening pieces provides you with 8% more holy damage and converts all your damage into holy damage.

As awakening, you choose Big Bang. This is basically your ultimate.

What does the rotation look like? In battle, focus on filling three cores as quickly as possible. The rotation suggested by Maxroll seems a bit complicated at first, but it is not. You repeatedly use the blue skills to charge and then execute various purple skills. A suitable order would be as follows:
- Heavy Crusher
- Jump Slamming Strike
- Perfect Swing
- Heavy Crusher
- Colossus
- Earthquake Hammer
- Heavy Crusher
- Jump Slamming Strike
- Earth Eater
- Heavy Crusher
- Colossus
- Full Swing
Class Engraving B: Gravity Training
What does the engraving do? As a second option, Lost Ark offers you the class engraving Gravity Training. The crit rate for Gravitational Release Skills and basic attacks is increased by 10/20/30%, and in Hypergravity mode, you deal 4/10/20% more damage.
Additionally, your Gravity Meter fills faster, depending on level 10/20/30%. This gets you into god mode faster and provides more defense.
For the stats, focus on specialization to fill your bar even faster.
What other engravings do I use? With Gravity Training, it’s worthwhile to initially focus on Barricade to further enhance your defense.
Later, the combat engraving Master Slayer is also beneficial to deal more damage with frontal attacks.
Which collectible cards are important? The collectible cards are not different from the other class engraving. To further increase your crit rate, you should initially focus on the card set Howling Rocks. It consists of Armel, Seria, Solas, King Thirain, Kharmine, and Delain Armel.
