In the endgame, as with most other classes, you choose between two class engravings. This determines your play style.
Class Engraving A: Enhanced Weapon
What does the engraving do? In this build, your crit rate with the shotgun increases by 20%. If you hit the enemy from behind, it increases by another 10%.
When holding the shotgun, position yourself close to the enemy, behind him. This way, you deal double damage and your crit is higher than in any other position. After using all shotgun skills, switch to the other two weapons.
A disadvantage is that the shotgun skills have long animations, which you can only interrupt using your dodge skill on the spacebar. However, this is only possible every eight seconds. Furthermore, you take a lot of damage since you have low defense and need to stand close to the enemy in this build.
For stats, focus on specialty to increase shotgun damage. Crit is, of course, also important, followed by agility.
What other engravings do I use? Besides class engravings, you select combat engravings for your Deadeye. Here, Adrenaline is a good choice to increase your crit.
Reckless Blunt Weapon is also great if you have enough crit from Adrenaline and your class engraving. The engraving increases the crit rate, but there is a chance that you deal 20% less damage. Therefore, it is only worth it if the chance for a critical hit is very high.
Later, you can also use Spirit Absorption and Raid Leader to increase your attack and movement speed.

Which collectible cards are important? Three Umar Families paired with Lazenith’s Fate are the best cards for the Deadeye. Unfortunately, these are very rare cards, so this set could become expensive.
You need Eikerr, Naber, and Galatur to take less damage from bosses and also deal more damage from behind. Beatrice and Allegro come in to reduce elemental damage taken and increase elemental damage dealt.
You have the optimal buffs after 15, or 10 awakenings. You will need many copies of the cards to complete the perfect set.
Alternatively, you can use the Howling Rocks set. It consists of Armel, Seria, Solas, King Thirain, Kharmine, and Delain Armel. This provides a dark damage reduction, and after six cards with twelve awakenings, your crit increases.

If you want to defeat a boss, you must be close to him and stand behind him. From behind, your crit and attack power increase; the shotgun deals more damage at close range.
Now weaken your opponent with Spiral Seeker and AT02-Grenade. It is important that you have skilled into Exposed Weakness on the tripod. Now that your opponent suffers from debuffs, switch to the shotgun and use Last Wish, Shotgun Master, Shotgun Rapid Fire, and Sign of Apocalypse.
Then, switch back to the pistol and use Quick Shot, Cruel Seeker, and Balance.
Now it’s time to use your rifle. Quickly use Spiral Flame, Perfect Shot, Catastrophe, and Triple Explosion since the 6-8 seconds of debuff are about to end.
Now your rotation starts over.

With the Gunslinger, you focus on specialization and crit, with specialization being more important. In Tier 3, agility also becomes important.
Which engravings do I use? While you spam your pistol skills, crit is important to maximize DPS from the Deadeye. Therefore, you first focus on Adrenaline and then on Precise Dagger.
Alternative engravings are Reckless Blunt Weapon, Over All Leader, and Master of Ambush.
Only later in the game, when you are familiar with the boss mechanics, should you focus on Wrath and Cursed Doll. These can be the strongest engravings if you play your Deadeye correctly. However, at the start, they can be challenging to use due to the debuffs.
Which collectible cards are important? To maximize DPS from your Deadeye, the card set Light of Redemption is optimal. It consists of Shandi, Azena, Innana, Nineveh, Wei, Balthorr, and Thirain. Unfortunately, this set is very expensive.

The Deadeye is one of the fastest damage dealers in Lost Ark. However, the gameplay with him is complicated. MeinMMO author Anny Bader took a closer look at the Deadeye and explains what to pay attention to.
The Deadeye (engl. Deadeye) is a subclass of the Gunner (engl. Gunner). He can only be played as a male character.
He has three weapons: a pistol, a shotgun, and a rifle. With the pistol, you can perform eight different attacks, while you can perform four attacks with each of the other two guns. The most damage at once comes from the shotgun, while the pistols focus more on speed.
You can therefore use 16 different skills. That’s double the amount compared to most other classes in Lost Ark.
While the many weapons and abilities make the Deadeye complicated, those who play him correctly can deal a lot of DPS. You need to attack your enemies from behind and stand close to the enemy, which inexperienced players may find difficult at first.
On the MeinMMO Tier List, the class is ranked C-Tier for both PvE and PvP. In High Rank, it climbs to the B rank in PvP.
How to Play the Deadeye
This is the special ability of the Deadeye: His identity ability is the ability to switch between the three firearms. You can switch them continuously without having to wait for a cooldown.
You mainly use pistol skills for mobility and to enhance your attacks. You deal directional damage with the shotgun. You use the rifle from a greater distance or when the shotgun skills are on cooldown.
You don’t have to worry much about cooldowns because, as mentioned above, you have 16 different ones. Therefore, you will never find yourself in a situation where you need to use the basic attack. To keep an eye on the cooldowns of the weapons you are not currently using, you will see a blue and red dot next to the weapon icons when the respective skills are ready to use again.
In combat, you must keep moving because the Deadeye has low defense. Additionally, each weapon requires you to choose a different position. With the shotgun, it’s especially important to stand close to the enemy, as many of the attacks deal double damage.
All Skills of the Deadeye:
Pistol
- AT02-Grenade: Throw a grenade up to 10m at the target.
- Agile Shot: Glide and shoot 4 times at the enemy. Can be performed twice in a row.
- Balance: Fire your pistol over a large area.
- Cruel Seeker: 6 shots, where the last deals the most damage.
- Meteor Storm: Shoot into the air and hit enemies toward the cursor.
- Plasma Ball: Fire a plasma ball that continuously deals damage.
- Flip Shot: Move forward with a flip while shooting at enemies.
- Quick Shot: 2 quick shots. The attack can be used twice in a row.
- Spiral Seeker: Throw a swirling pistol at your target.
- Death Fire: Hit enemies 9 times in 2.9 seconds. If you hit the perfect area, you throw a grenade afterwards.
- Execution: Sprint forward, land a headshot, and then shoot 8 times at the enemies.
Rifle
- Triple Explosion: Shoot an explosive bullet at your enemies. Can be performed up to 3 times in a row.
- Targeted Shot: Shoot 4 times at enemies while turning toward the cursor. The first three bullets slow down the enemies; the last throws them to the ground.
- Catastrophe: Throws a landmine and lets it explode.
- Perfect Shot: If you hit the perfect area with this shot, you deal a lot of damage to the enemies.
- Spiral Flame: Powerful fireball that sets the ground on fire.
Shotgun
- Last Wish: Fire an exploding bullet that launches enemies into the air.
- Shotgun Rapid Fire: 3 shots with the shotgun; targets near you take double damage.
- Shotgun Master: Several shots at enemies; the last throws them to the ground. Enemies nearby take double damage.
- Hour of Judgment: Shoot bullets that shatter on impact.
- Sign of Apocalypse: 2 shots. Enemies near you take double damage.
The Deadeye in the Leveling Process
When allocating points, it’s important that you never raise the skill levels above level 10. Skill level 4 is needed for the first tripod, skill level 8 for the second, and skill level 10 for the third.
To level as effectively as possible, you can distribute your points as follows:
Up to level 12: Put 4 points into Execution and Flip Shot for mobility.
Up to level 21: 48 points into Balance for AoE damage.
Up to level 30: 48 points into Shotgun Rapid Fire.
Up to level 38: 48 points into Shotgun Master.
Up to level 49: 48 points into Death Fire.
