However, the Gunslinger is very demanding in PvP because you have to actively avoid incoming damage and enemies. You have a lot of damage, but very little defense.

Lost Ark Guides: All tips, tricks, and builds at a glance
The Gunslinger is one of the strongest, but above all the most fun classes in Lost Ark, because it is so mobile. In this guide, we at MeinMMO reveal which skills it has, how you should level it, and which builds are useful in the endgame.
What kind of class is this? The Gunslinger is the only playable version of the starting class “Gunner” and feels most comfortable at ranged combat. It is quite mobile and has some useful AoE attacks.
Thanks to its special ability, it can switch between three weapon sets: the rifle, the shotgun, or two pistols. This means that you have access to 16 skills in combat. Other classes usually have between 8 and 12.
Due to the constant switching of weapons, the class is also somewhat more demanding in its rotation than some other classes.
For which game content is the Gunslinger useful? The Gunslinger is – if played well – a DPS in the S-tier. However, due to its abilities, it goes down faster and needs to be mastered first, which is why we rated it slightly lower in our Tier List for PvE.
In PvP, it is basically an easy target for almost all classes in the low-level area. However, the better you master the Gunslinger, the harder it becomes to counter it. In high-rank PvP, it is therefore an A-tier.
All Skills of the Gunslinger
Here we list all the skills of the Gunslinger. The exact damage numbers are omitted, as they depend on your attributes and partially on the allocated skill points.
Spiral Seeker – Pistol stance: Throws a spinning pistol at the target position within 10 m, dealing damage over 15 hits.
AT02 Grenade – Pistol stance: Throws a grenade at the target position within 10 m, dealing damage.
Quick Step – Pistol stance: Dash 6 m forward and fire your weapon to deal damage.
Plasma Ball – Pistol stance: Fire a slowly flying plasma ball that deals continuous damage.
Meteor Storm – Pistol stance: Fire a salvo of bullets into the air and then direct it to the cursor position. It hits there, deals damage, and launches enemies into the air.
Somersault Shot – Pistol stance: Move forward with a somersault and fire your pistol to deal damage.
Hour of Judgment – Shotgun stance: Fires 3 bullets that spread out in a cone and deal damage, with each bullet dealing 1/3 of the damage. These bullets shatter on impact, and the shards deal damage to enemies behind the hit targets.
Spiral Flame – Rifle stance: Shoots a powerful fireball that launches enemies into the air and deals fire damage. Sets the ground ablaze, dealing damage for 2.4 seconds every 0.8 seconds.
Balance – Pistol stance: Fire your pistol over a large area and deal damage.
Shotgun Rapid Fire – Shotgun stance: Fires the shotgun three times to deal damage.
Catastrophe – Rifle stance: Throws a landmine at the cursor position and detonates it, dealing damage and launching enemies into the air.
Death Fire – Pistol stance: Fires a salvo of bullets lasting 2.9 seconds at all nearby enemies, dealing damage over 9 hits. Hit the perfect area to bounce back and throw a grenade that deals damage and launches enemies into the air.
Last Request – Shotgun stance: Fires a strong, exploding bullet that deals damage and launches enemies into the air.
Perfect Shot – Rifle stance: Fires a high-caliber, high-velocity bullet that deals damage. Hit the perfect area to deal more damage and knock back enemies.
Skilled Shot – Pistol stance: Glide forward 6 m and fire your pistol four times to deal damage to nearby enemies. The ability can be used up to X times consecutively.
Peacemaker – Pistol stance: Fires the pistol to deal damage. When a combo is entered, the character fires the pistol explosively, dealing more damage. When another combo is entered, the character first performs kicks that deal damage and then quickly fires the pistol.
Double Shotgun – Shotgun stance: Fires the shotgun twice to deal damage. If another attack follows this one, the character spins the weapon to reload it for another shot and deals damage.
Focused Shot – Rifle stance: Fires the rifle twice, dealing damage each time and reducing the movement speed of enemies by 80% for 2 seconds. Then fire a projectile to deal damage and knock back enemies.
Bullet Rain – Pistol stance: Fires the weapon forward for 2 seconds, dealing damage.
Sharpshooter – Shotgun stance: Fires the shotgun forward seven times to deal damage. The ability can be interrupted by changing stance.
The Gunslinger in the Leveling Process
How do I play the Gunslinger most effectively at the beginning? At the start, it is helpful to invest a lot in mobility and AoE damage. You achieve this by leveling Quick Step, Somersault Shot, and Rapid Fire in the shotgun.
Level the skill Perfect Shot as well to deal as much damage to a single target (bosses in dungeons) as possible.
In terms of equipment, make sure to collect and equip the Critical and Specialization stats. These significantly increase your damage.
How should I distribute my first skill points?
- Until level 12, you should put 4 points into the skill Quick Step and there the bonus Excellent Mobility, and another 4 points into the skill Somersault Shot with the upgrade Agile Mobility.
- By level 22, invest all 48 points into the skill Balance. There you activate the bonuses Exposed Weakness, Assault on the Enemy, and Nerve Shot.
- By level 26, increase the skill Perfect Shot by 20 points and use Stable Healing and Kill Confirmation.
- At level 31, invest 20 skill points into Death Fire and level it with Eager Strike and Flame Bomb.
- By level 35, invest additional points (a total of 48) into Death Fire to unlock the third bonus Infinite Elimination. Also invest the first 20 points in Focused Shot with Rapid Targets and Double Shot.
- By level 40, invest more points to activate the third bonus (48 points) of Focused Shot, Final Strike. In addition, you should invest 4 points in Sharpshooter in Ranged Combat.
- By level 48, increase Sharpshooter to 48 points and unlock Circular Fire and Breath of the Guardian. In addition, you put 4 points into Peacemaker with Excellent Mobility.
- At level 50, invest another 48 points in Target on the Ground, your latest ability.
Your distribution at the end looks as follows:
- Level 4 and 4 points in Quick Step
- Level 4 and 4 points in Somersault Shot
- Level 10 and 48 points in Balance
- Level 10 and 48 points in Death Fire
- Level 4 and 4 points in Peacemaker.
- Level 10 and 48 points in Sharpshooter
- Level 10 and 48 points in Focused Shot
- Level 10 and 48 points in Target on the Ground
The Gunslinger in Endgame
In the endgame, the Gunslinger can be played with various builds and a focus on different weapons. While you will constantly need to rotate through the weapons, the emphasis can be shifted according to your wishes.
The DPS in Raids: In raids, a build is currently popular that focuses on rifle and shotgun. Your damage comes from the skills Perfect Shot, Focused Shot, and Target on the Ground.
The focus of this build is on the Critical attribute. Accordingly, you apply critical debuffs to enemies with the pistol.
This build has high range and lots of damage, but very little defense and a high skill cap. You can find the complete guide on Maxroll (via maxroll.gg).
The DPS in Dungeons: In chaos and cube dungeons, it is advisable to focus more on AoE. Therefore, the skills from the pistol are more important here. Damage primarily comes from Balance, Bullet Rain, Death Fire, and Sharpshooter from the shotgun.
This build is somewhat easier to play than the rifle build from the raids. A more detailed explanation can be found at maxroll (via maxroll.gg).
The Gunslinger in PvP: In both 1v1 and 3v3, the Gunslinger is played with a mixed build. The focus here is mainly on high mobility through Quick Step and Somersault Shot. In addition, CC is taken into account, for example through points in Catastrophe and Focused Shot.
However, the Gunslinger is very demanding in PvP because you have to actively avoid incoming damage and enemies. You have a lot of damage, but very little defense.
The complete build can be found at Maxroll (via maxroll.gg).
