The MMORPG Lost Ark has announced a change to the roadmap. A new class was initially supposed to arrive in April – but now it will appear in the game earlier.
Which class is it about? The new class is “the Artist”. This class was released in the Korean version a year ago and caused a huge surge there.
The Artist serves as a link between the support and damage classes. It uses a brush with various inks – black ink deals damage, white ink heals allies.
This fills a niche, as supports are rare in Lost Ark. Currently, only two supporters are available among 23 classes, making the Artist the third. Accordingly, support fans are waiting for the new class, and players in Lost Ark forums regularly call for the “Artist” to be added to the game (via Lost Ark Forums).
What is changing with the release of the new class
When is the class “Artist” coming to Lost Ark? Lost Ark had announced that the new class would be released in April 2023 rather than the previously planned two months earlier. They wanted to make adjustments first before it appears in the Western version of Lost Ark.
However, it seems they finished earlier than originally thought, as now the roadmap has been adjusted. The new class is now expected to be released in March. A more specific date is not yet known.
This is likely to cause a surprise, as community manager Roxx announced in the forum at the beginning of January that the April date would not change (via Lost Ark Forums).
As the developers announced in the blog, the new class will come with a Power Pass and a progression event. It should operate similarly to previous express events.
Thus, the Lost Ark community can look forward to new content in a timely manner. Moreover, in February 2023, the “Anniversary Celebration” in Lost Ark is already coming up, and the continent of Rowen will be the focus.
