In League of Legends: Wild Rift the new patch 2.1 will be released in February. This brings interesting innovations for tournaments and a total of 6 new champions that will be released gradually.
What does the patch bring? With the launch of patch 2.1, Riot Games will release replays and a spectator mode. This allows you to watch both in custom games and your friends.
For Wild Rift, this is an important step to enable tournaments and corresponding shoutcasts.
During patch 2.1, a total of 6 champions will also be released, all of whom are already known from the PC version.
When will patch 2.1 be released? So far, there is no exact release date. Only February has been mentioned as the month. The patch will run until April, when the next update 2.2 will be released.
During the patch cycle, however, there will be further updates addressing balance and hotfixes. These will then have the additions 2.1a, 2.1b, and so on.
These 6 champions are coming to Wild Rift
First, the two champions Xayah and Rakan (featured image) are set to find their way into the mobile version of LoL. They could appear very soon after the release of patch 2.1.
They will complement the already existing 55 champions.
For March, champions Katarina, Leona, Diana, and Pantheon are planned. They will come along with the event “The Path of Ascension,” just like Teemo and the other 4 Yordles were introduced with an event recently.
What else will happen in patch 2.1? Throughout the update, the new skin lines “Omegatrupp” and “Projekt” will be released. The developers also emphasized in the blog post that they have not yet disclosed all changes and features.
In 2021, a full release, more champions, and a new game mode are also planned. You can find out more about it here: LoL Wild Rift will get a new game mode in 2021 that many have wished for.
