In League of Legends: Wild Rift, the new event “Wukong’s Challenge” starts today, December 25. This brings the 50th champion, the Monkey King Wukong, which you can even earn for free. However, you only have a short time to do this.
What kind of champion is this? Wukong is a bruiser who fights with tricks and crowd control. With his staff, he can fling enemies into the air and with his other abilities, he can become invisible, summon clones, and quickly reach enemies.
With his staff, he deals more damage to enemies the more frequently he attacks them and can even amplify his attacks. In the new champion highlight that we have embedded here for you, you can see Wukong in action:
The Monkey King is especially known for his high mobility and strong damage output, even from League of Legends. In Wild Rift, he could fit well into the upper tiers of the tier list of all champions, especially in the top lane.
Wukong Event gives you the 50th champion
How do I get Wukong? Together with the event, a total of seven tasks started today that you can complete. As a reward, you can earn blue particles, XP boosts, and finally, Wukong as a champion:

| 3: Monkey’s Mimicking | Achieve 30 kills/assists OR fling enemy champions 25 times. | 150 blue particles |
| 4: Pause and Reflect | Kill a total of 6 elemental dragons with your team OR play 2 games as a fighter. | 150 blue particles |
| 5: Master and Student | Play 5 games OR win 1 game with Master Yi on your team. | 50 Porom coins |
| 6: Double Vision | Play 5 games OR win a game with a Vastaya champion (Nami, Ahri, or Wukong) on your team. | 150 blue particles |
| 7: A Difficult Lesson | Place or destroy 25 wards. | Wukong |
You will receive the next task after completing the previous one. For some of the tasks, you will definitely need more than one game, so plan accordingly. If you are struggling to win, you can find tips from LoL players that will help you improve.
Alternatively, you can simply buy the champion in the shop. In line with the event, there is even a bundle with the wild monkey. It contains:
- Wukong (with 50% discount)
- Volcanic Wukong (skin)
- General Wukong (skin)
How long does the event last? If you want to earn Wukong for free, you should hurry. The event started today, December 25, 2020, at 01:00 AM German time and only lasts until January 1, 2021, at 01:00 AM. You only have one week to complete all tasks.
