On League of Legends, the new Season 11 started on January 8th. Along with this, a video about the future of LoL, as well as the mobile version Wild Rift, was released. This will not only have new champions but also a popular mode from the PC version.
What’s happening in 2021 with Wild Rift? In the video, the developers talked about the future of Wild Rift. The beta is set to launch in North America in March. We in Europe have been playing since December 10, 2020.
For 2021, the developers plan to release two new champions and a first skin collection exclusively for Wild Rift every month. They are also working on a fixed role selection for ranked matches. This was one of our biggest criticisms of the beta of Wild Rift.
As a big surprise, the developers also announced a new game mode: All Random All Mid (ARAM).
ARAM was on the wishlist of many Wild Rift fans
What kind of mode is this? ARAM is already known from the PC version of LoL. In this mode, there is only one lane, similar to the tutorials in Wild Rift. Additionally, you are assigned a random champion, which you can, at least on PC, re-roll a few times.
In this mode, you still fight 5 against 5, but the matches are significantly shorter and are primarily meant to be fun. There will likely not be a leaderboard for this mode.
When will ARAM be released? So far, there is no exact release timeframe. In the video, it was only stated that the mode should be tested in the course of 2021.
So those who are looking forward to some relaxed rounds and do not want to take the game too seriously can look forward to the fun mode this year.
ARAM could also bring joy back to MeinMMO editor Patrick Freese. Due to his first successful rounds, a certain pressure has built up:
Because I played too well, I can no longer enjoy LoL: Wild Rift
