On October 16, the new champion Senna was announced for League of Legends, but the new Devblog already reveals which champions will be coming next.
How many champions are currently planned? Besides Senna, a new support for which there are already some details, Lead Producer REAV3 announced four more champions today. They are:
- A marksman
- A juggernaut
- A jungler
- A melee solo laner
While Senna is just about to be released, the jungler and the solo laner are still in an early stage of development.
A faithful marksman and an Ionian juggernaut
What do we know about the new marksman? The AD carry in LoL will be female and very faithful. She seems to use various weapons of faith to defeat her enemies. According to the Devblog, she changes these “like the cycles of the moon”.
She is likely connected to the Lunari, an order that worships the moon. A well-known member of this order is the champion Diana.
The developers describe the marksman as a great challenge, and you apparently need to train hard to master her.

What do we know about the juggernaut? The new bruiser, who feels most at home in the midst of battle, comes from the Ionian underground. The teaser image suggests that the new juggernaut is some kind of gladiator.
He builds strength when he is attacked and then unleashes the pent-up aggression on his opponents. This suggests either a personal resource like rage for abilities or a shield that reflects damage.

The last juggernaut that was released for the game was Darius, according to Reav3. So we can look forward to seeing how the new champion performs in comparison.
What do we know about the other two champions? The other two champions are said to be a quirky jungler and a provocative top laner.
Details about them are expected to be revealed in 2020.
Reworks of old champs and Summoner’s Rift
Which old champions will be reworked soon? Riot Games is planning changes to the champions Fiddlesticks and Volibear:
- Fiddlesticks will delve deeper into the theme of fear and will become a “terrifying being with multiple voices”.
- Volibear, on the other hand, will transition from an unstoppable champion to a god of storms. Detailed plans will follow.
What other reworks are coming? With the upcoming pre-season, there will be major changes to Summoner’s Rift. The elemental dragons are expected to have an influence on the map’s layout.
Riot Games has also announced a new version for consoles and smartphones for the 10th anniversary of LoL that will have its own Summoner’s Rift.
What do you think about the new champions and the announced changes to Fiddlesticks and Volibear?
