The game mode rotation in League of Legends (LoL) will make many players happy and many wrists sore this weekend.
After the previous game modes (Ascension and the Legend of the Poroking) have been successful, developer Riot Games is focusing on a particularly popular game mode in LoL this weekend – namely URF. The Ultra Rapid Fire mode offers radically altered values from cooldowns to critical hit multipliers and resource costs. Sounds crazy? Yes, it is – and that’s the good part!
What can you expect from the URF mode in LoL?
- Ability costs reduced by 50%
- Cooldowns reduced by 80% – Runes and masteries are useless in this case and provide no improvement
- Toughness generally at 25%
- Movement speed increased by 60 (Goodbye, shoes)
- Attack speed increased by 50% – for ranged champions even by 100%
- Critical hits now deal 225% instead of 200% base damage
- Gold gain has been casually increased by 500%
- TONS OF DAMAGE: Everything deals ridiculously high damage
- TONS OF HEALTH POINTS: Because everything deals more damage, everyone also has more health
“But what about the healers?” you ask. The developers of League of Legends have thought of something. At the beginning of the game, healing only deals 50% of the actual spell. Every 30 seconds, this value increases by 1%, so that after 25 minutes the 100% healing efficiency is reached.
“And shields? What about shields?” the crowd shouts. The developers have also closely monitored these values during the testing phase and significantly reduced the scaling with ability power, so that no other champion suffers from the Tahm Kench annoyance.
Champion nerfs and Hextech crafting in the URF mode in LoL
Of course, various champions have been specifically adjusted for this mode so that they do not, like the Bots of Doom, completely run rampant in the Rift. For example, Teemo has a limited number of mushrooms that may be on the map at the same time. The stun duration of some abilities has also been significantly reduced.
But even in this mode, you can earn “S-ratings” to receive chests for Hextech crafting. Keys for these chests will also be available in the URF mode.
The URF mode in LoL starts today at around 2:00 PM and ends Monday morning. So you can roll your head over the keyboard all weekend and injure your wrists in the process – I’m looking forward to it!
