What is the feature? A voice chat has existed in LoL for quite some time, but only for your own group that is also searching together after a match. To talk in LoL, you need to behave
When can the voice chat of LoL be used? On the official League of Legends website, Riot provided a small update about voice chat.
The developers write that the voice chat will not come immediately but when it is ready. According to Riot, there has not been a voice chat so far because it did not meet their standards for safety and reliability. Now, however, the technology has advanced enough that Riot can recognize toxic players.
This means that in order to use the voice chat in LoL, players must behave, which could be difficult for some. The exact criteria for using the new feature are still unknown.
When will the voice chat come to LoL? When exactly the voice chat will come to LoL is also unknown. At the end of the blog, Riot writes that there will be new information in a future Dev update in 2026. They further state that the bar for the voice chat is set very high. Thus, they want to listen to player feedback to finish developing the voice chat.
