The Twitch streamer Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp loves and hates League of Legends. After two bad games, he explained how terrible Riot Games is and in what pathetic state the balance of LoL is. He can’t play it anymore. The next day he ripped again for 5 hours.
This is Tyler1:
- In 2022 and all the years before, Tyler1 was the biggest streamer of League of Legends. But in 2023 he played relatively little, now the German NoWay4U has surpassed him, the 31-year-old is now the biggest streamer of League of Legends in the world on Twitch.
- Tyler1 is known for his outbursts: When he is in rage, he gives no good feedback to LoL.
- He had such a phase on November 28th. He raged against League of Legends and the developers Riot Games.
Tyler1 loses 2 times in a row: “Devs have destroyed all my passion for the game”
What did he say? At the time of his outburst, Tyler1 had lost 2 games in a row – mainly due to bad teammates: He had a Taliyah in the jungle who only got 2 kills but died 10 times. The top side of his team was at 8 kills and 23 deaths. On the other side, however, Naafiri (8 kills) and Graves (18 kills) shone.
That put Tyler1 in rage:
“Guys, I want to be honest. I can’t play this shit anymore. The game is terrible, it’s just terrible. The developers have killed it. Everyone is in a bad mood when they play it.”
The balance is so terrible that it has destroyed “all passion and all playability” that Tyler1 ever felt for LoL. He might now play one match in silver a day so he has something for YouTube.
Even with the many changes of Season 14, nothing will change. Everything will just be broken again. The developers just pick up their paycheck. They could just.
Shame on them, shame on every one of them.
He said this and logged out of Twitch after about 4:30 hours.
Illaoi brings back his love the next day
Here’s how it continued: The next day Tyler logged back in, ripped 5 hours in LoL. He played Illaoi top lane, dominated the poor Alistar in the endgame, flamed the opponents constantly in chat, and shouted “Top-Lane Diff”.
At the end of the stream, he stated it was a good day. He had gained about 150 LP. When he plays Illaoi, it simply works. Only when he doesn’t get her is he “pissed off”, then he sees LoL for what the game actually is.
What’s behind that. Tyler1 is just like every other LoL player. His opinion about the balance and state of LoL strongly depends on whether he has won or lost his last games.
Tyler1 has a strange relationship with LoL. He sees himself as “addicted”. But no matter how much Tyler1 hates LoL, the game provides for a comfortable standard of living:
