In League of Legends, the “Star Guardian” event is currently running. You can complete special missions and purchase unique skins. We at MeinMMO will reveal everything you need to know about the event.
What kind of event is this? Star Guardian started in late November and runs until December 16 at 10:00 PM. During this time, you can complete special missions for rewards.

Alongside this event, the Essence Wonderland is also running, where you can earn skins and more rewards for in-game currency. You can learn more about the Essence Wonderland in this post.
The new missions and their rewards
What are these missions? In the new missions, you have 3 possible objectives, of which you need to complete one. Each mission can also be completed by simply winning 10 games, but this can be very time-consuming since you need to finish the tasks by December 16.
The rewards include Blue Essences, Hextech Keys, and Hextech Chests:

You need to complete the missions mainly in the Summoner’s Rift or in ARAM. Only the 10 games per mission also count in Teamfight Tactics.
From December 4 at 10:00 PM, a special mission will also be unlocked, through which you can unlock the DAMWON Gaming champion icon. We will add more details soon.
What else is free? Through the Star Guardian Capsules 2020 – a content from Hextech Chests – you can receive 3 random skin shards as usual. However, new this time is that you have a 4% chance to receive an Interstellar Surprise Bag.
The Interstellar Surprise Bag increases your chance for a Gemstone and mythical skin by 1.5 times and contains one of the following contents:
- 5 Interstellar skin shards (60 % chance) OR
- 7 random skin shards (25 % chance) OR
- 10 Interstellar skin shards (15 % chance)
With the shards and gemstones, you can unlock skins for free.
10 new skins and chromas, as well as new icons and symbols
What new skins are there? Through the event, a total of 10 new skins will be introduced, one of which is a Prestige skin, for which you need to invest additional Prestige Points. The following skins are available:

What else is in the shop? In addition to the skins, there are new icons, chromas, symbols, and stickers. You can find the complete list in the official blog post by Riot Games.
Overall, Star Guardian appears somewhat smaller than previous events like Spirit Blossom or PsyOps. Those had optional storylines or hidden new content that you could unlock.
