How did the match go? Overall, the match ended 3:2 in favor of Fnatic. After the first game, which G2 won, things looked bad for Fnatic, but they quickly caught up and won the next two games.
G2 seemed to want to keep it exciting and won the fourth game, so everything was open for both sides in the last, fifth game. Ultimately, Fnatic was able to win the final game and defeat G2 in a Best-of-5 after 849 days.
Fnatic thus secured a direct place in the finals of the Summer Split on July 28, which will also be broadcast on the YouTube channel of LEC.
Why is G2 at risk of missing the finals? Due to the loss against Fnatic, they might fail to make it to the finals of the LEC Summer Split. First, they need to face either KCorp or BDS again on July 27, also in a Best-of-5. The winner of this match will then face Fnatic in the finals.
