The team Fnatic is one of the largest LoL teams in Europe. The jungler Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen faced criticism after his team’s exit at the League of Legends Worlds 2019. He defends himself on his Twitch stream. But shortly after, rumors arise that he will leave Fnatic.
Who is he? The Dane Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen (22) is the jungler for Fnatic. He is also a Twitch streamer with about 165,000 followers.
This is his problem: Fnatic actually had a pretty good Worlds performance. Many thought they would be eliminated in the group stage against SKT1 and RNG.
But Fnatic managed to become second in the “Group of Death”. The Chinese team RNG was eliminated, and Fnatic moved on.
In the quarter-finals, they faced FunPlus Phoenix, the eventual World Champions of the LoL Worlds 2019. Fnatic did not look good here. Especially the midlaner of the Chinese team, Doinb, and the jungler, Tian, dominated the series.
Broxah seemed clearly outmatched in the jungle against Tian: Some fans pointed to Broxah as the main reason for their team’s exit and voiced their opinions loudly.
Broxah was said to have “searched for ganks that weren’t there” – Tian was “in his head”, were some comments on reddit.
Broxah contradicts rumor, Rekkles wants to get rid of him
This is what Broxah says: In the Twitch stream, Broxah says it is brutal to hear that fans blame him for the team’s exit. That’s just ridiculous. One cannot make someone the scapegoat.
You lose in LoL as a team – and it was a team effort to get as far as Fnatic has.
Broxah publicly defended against now being the scapegoat for Fnatic’s exit at the LoL Worlds 2019.
Recently, rumors have also surfaced that Fnatic’s star, Rekkles, wants to get rid of him. The two allegedly do not understand each other. Broxah denied this on Twitter. Everything is fine between him and Rekkles – they respect each other.

This is new now: The latest rumors from ESPN say: Broxah will leave Fnatic.
Allegedly, Fnatic has signed jungler Selfmade and will let Broxah go. But there is no confirmation for this yet.
The Pole Selfmade is only 19 years old and was the rising star at SK Gaming last year.

Update 18:48: Fnatic has announced that Broxah is leaving.
Team Liquid has announced that they are signing Broxah. They refer to his tweet about Rekkles.
And SK Gaming announced that Selfmade is leaving the organization. So it looks like all the rumors are actually coming true.
