A French streamer controls Lucian and Yuumi simultaneously in a game of League of Legends (LoL). The clip shows that this actually works well.
What does the streamer show? On Reddit, a clip is currently being hotly debated. The French streamer Wakz plays two characters simultaneously in the MOBA League of Legends. While others struggle with one character, the streamer demonstrates that he can manage both champions relatively well at the same time.
At least in the shown clip, he can get a whopping five kills and thus wipe out the enemy team.
The special thing about the action is that he controls his AD carry normally with his hands. However, he uses his feet and pedals for the supporter. So, he controls two accounts simultaneously. Viewers are impressed by the action.
How does the streamer do it?
This is how it works: In the clip, you see two camera feeds embedded in an overlay. The right image shows the facecam normally. On the left side, you see the footcam with the pedals. With that, he controls the supporter Yuumi – a small cat on a flying carpet.
Not an isolated case: On Reddit, people express their admiration for the play in the comments. However, the streamer is not the first to do this. We have already reported about the Canadian Tony “Saskio” Chau. He played Yuumi with his feet in December and streamed it.
The supporter Yuumi apparently lends itself well to being controlled with feet. But why?
What helps is Yuumi’s ability to “connect” with an allied champion. This means she does not have to be controlled constantly with mouse clicks on the map to move and evade enemy attacks. While she is connected to a champion, she cannot be attacked.
The main character then takes over control. In the case of the streamer, he controls Lucian with mouse and keyboard while simultaneously moving Yuumi with him.
Fancy controllers are popular among streamers. And sometimes, food has to serve as a controller:
What do the viewers say? The clip is hotly debated on Reddit. After almost 15 hours, there are over 15,000 upvotes and 660 comments. Many comments revolve around the fact that Yuumi is “simply” easy to play and still strong.
Others ask what rank the streamer plays on. User Izov7 (via reddit) knows and writes, “He is about Master/Grandmaster in his games in the French league. On the account [here in the clip], he has a Gold 1 MMR. He played 8 games (4/4) and will play again on Monday.”
In response, another player said, “His feet have a better Elo [rank] than most players. Very good” (via reddit).
According to LeagueofGraphs.com, over 60% of players in League of Legends have a worse rank than “Gold”.
Other commenters mention that the ranking also has a lot to do with game understanding. After all, he is generally strong in LoL as a Challenger player and is now smurfing in Gold tier. “He still knows when he can punish enemies,” explains ShuuyajinGod on reddit.
The supporter Yuumi has already caused many discussions in the LoL community. While at first many players found her too weak, she later became too strong. So strong that she was even frequently banned. However, this was not the case everywhere in the world. Why Yuumi shows that Koreans play LoL quite differently than we do.
