What’s happening in the professional scene of LoL? The LoL player Caltys shared a screenshot of a chat conversation on X, where she was apparently contacted by a former employee of a team explaining why she was rejected as a new ADC. According to the chat, the situation seems to have occurred a few years ago.
For the employee, Caltys was the best choice as ADC, and he also communicated his opinion to the team’s management. However, the management disagreed and rejected Caltys. The reasoning: The team did not want a woman as a player because the management feared that the other team members would prefer to flirt rather than play.
After the post received several hundred thousand views, Caltys gave a small update on X. There, the player writes: “I didn’t expect this to make such waves… For me, this is unfortunately a very normal experience in everyday work.”
The 23-year-old continues that she has been hearing such reasons since she was 16 and finds it sad that nothing has changed since then.

What else has been released? On the same day, another player shared a chat log on X, stating that player Colomblbl was also rejected due to her gender.
The message states: “In your tryouts for Team Insidious, there was a very loud and a more reserved person who believed we shouldn’t take you because you are a woman and therefore automatically worse.”
It is unclear whether this was a situation in December 2025 or two years ago. Such situations are unfortunately not isolated cases. In the Subreddit for League of Legends, the topic has also been shared and similar cases have been described in the comments.
What does the community say about the issue? The Reddit user Questica shares further situations in which female players experience some form of sexism. He has worked as a semi-professional coach in North America and has experienced several situations in which female players were rejected due to their gender.
Other users express shock in the comments, stating that this is the definition of sexism. The fact that the management of the team assumes that other players would rather flirt than play is, according to some users, sexism against male players (reddit.com).
