Positive behavior in League of Legends (LoL) will soon be rewarded better, as the developers plan major changes to the Honor System.
The Honor System in League of Legends is intended to reward players for good behavior in games. After a match, you can provide feedback to teammates for being friendly or helpful or showing teamwork. You can also evaluate opponents. Here you have the option of “Honorable Opponent“, which allows you to acknowledge your adversaries.
The problem with these rewards is that they haven’t really felt “significant.” However, this should change this year with a revamp of the system.
Honor where honor is due?
The revamp of the Honor System this year is supposed to make these evaluations feel more significant. This system was actually meant to remind players that positive behavior in League of Legends pays off. However, in its current state, it unfortunately does not convey this impression, says Lead Producer New001 in a recent video. Feedback feels disconnected from the actions. It arrives late for the player, who has already lost connection to the game for which they were evaluated.
The new system, on the other hand, is supposed to be much more connected to the game and provides better incentives, as you can see in the following image:
These new rewards are intended to reward not just a small percentage of LoL players, but all who consistently demonstrate sportsmanship. Soon, the team working on the Honor System will provide more information on this topic.
We are curious about what rewards there will be besides the badge shown on the profile. It could involve achieving different ranks rewarded with skins or chests. Do you have ideas on how to design the new Honor System so that it really encourages players to be fair?
