League of Legends is a team game, usually played in a 5v5 mode. However, professional player Jankos from G2 Esports took on an entire team single-handedly – and even won.
What a match it was! In a livestream on Twitch, Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski, the jungler of the currently best team in Europe, started a private game. In this game, he faced off against 5 players selected by his teammate Perkz all by himself.
Although 4 of his opponents were from the Iron League, the lowest tier in LoL, one would still think they should have a chance against Jankos with the possible splits and their numerical advantage.
However, the match lasted only 17 minutes, and in the end, Jankos emerged as the shining victor. He did not die a single time but managed to collect 34 kills against his opponents.
Jankos dominates his opponents
Which champions were chosen? For the fight against 5 players, the pro chose Camille as his champion. In addition, he banned the 3 main counters against Camille: Tryndamere, Jax, and Master Yi.
The 5 opponents, on the other hand, chose:
- Sona
- Mordekaiser
- Lee Sin
- Heimerdinger
- Maokai
How did Jankos manage to win the match? Right from the start, the jungler showed what he was made of. He rushed to the enemy’s blue buff and secured the first blood against Lee Sin within the first 120 seconds.
After that, Jankos was chased back to the middle turret and was attacked repeatedly. Sona overdid it a bit and became the second victim right away.
As the match progressed, the pro player took advantage of his gold and level lead and dismantled turrets in the mid lane with the Trinity Force and the Herald.
The second Herald then destroyed the two Nexus turrets and ultimately led Jankos to victory.
Not the first attempt against 5 players
Jankos had already faced the challenge before this match and took on 5 players. Back then he used Master Yi and did not ban any opposing champions beforehand.
That proved to be his downfall. His opponents spread across the three lanes and were able to overwhelm the pro.
But Jankos is currently doing well not only alone against 5 players:
- G2 Esports is in 1st place in the European league, even though they already suffered a loss against the weak Schalke 04.
- The fans love their team, even if they sometimes completely fail.
