Faker is probably the most legendary player in League of Legends. Normally, he acts cool and professional. However, in T1’s last game, things looked different. They lost, and Faker reacted emotionally. So much so that his teammates had to hold him back.
Which match is this about? On August 3, 2024, T1 played against Gen.G in the LCK 2024 Summer Split. As Dexerto reports, the first game wasn’t too bad for T1 until Faker got caught multiple times. The second match also went to Gen.G after some minor mistakes from T1’s side.
Since only a best-of-3 is being played here, T1 lost the match 2:0. In a clip, T1 is seen watching a replay of the games. Faker gets emotional and starts hitting his head against the wall repeatedly. He only stops when his teammates hold him back. Such emotional displays are rarely seen from the professional.

Fans Are Worried
How does the community react to Faker? While some fans complain about his performance, as has happened before with T1, others are also worried about the player. In a reddit thread, users express their concerns.

Honestly, it’s a bit scary that Faker is doing something like this. He holds very high expectations for himself, and the fact that he has repeatedly been unable to meet those expectations recently must be extremely frustrating for him. Hopefully, the players get the peace they need.

The LCS caster Azael also spoke out on x.com. He says he is alarmed to see Faker like this. He explains that the pressure on professionals and their performance is enormously high, especially when it has been going on for as long as it has for Faker.
The status of T1 and Faker, of course, adds another layer of pressure from fans on all their games. He is the personality of the LoL esports that probably everyone knows.
Of course, losing to Gen.G is additionally bitter for T1. In the Spring Playoffs 2024, T1 already lost the finals against this rival. In 2023 as well, T1 lost the Summer and Spring Playoffs to Gen.G.
