In League of Legends, a champion is going wild. The monster Rek’Sai can apparently bring any opponent down to such a low amount of health points due to a bug that she can kill them with the next hit. As a result, she can even take down the “Baron” alone in a matter of seconds, giving her team a huge advantage. Fans are storming on Tuesday, April 19th: Riot must disable the champion immediately.
What kind of bug is this? In recent days, a bug has been discovered in League of Legends that allows the champion Rek’Sai to deal enormous damage with a single blow, and that already at low levels.
As early as April 17th, videos were circulating on YouTube showing the bug in action:
- Rek’Sai uses the ability “E” to tunnel to an opponent
- But a bug ensures that everything at the tunnel’s exit is set to just 1 health point
- So Rek’Sai only needs one more hit after the burial attack to finish off the opponent
Players demand that Riot immediately disables Rek’Sai
What makes the bug so severe? Through the bug, Rek’Sai can even defeat the Baron with one hit, which disrupts the entire balance. Normally, a kill of the Baron is a game-changing event that the whole team has to collaborate on: After the Baron kill, the team that dealt the final blow gains powerful bonuses.
Furthermore, Rek’Sai can already attack players surprisingly and relatively safely with “ganks” at low levels due to the bug. Because no one expects to drop so low in health points, such an attack creates a high shock effect: In LoL there’s “too much damage”, but not that much.
It is simply an unfair bug that completely ruins the game. Those confronted with it in rank are frustrated and pass on this frustration.
What are the players demanding? On Twitter, players are urging Riot Games to remove the entire champion from the game immediately and keep him disabled until the bug is fixed.
They keep sharing images and screenshots of players exploiting Rek’Sai’s current status as a “monster” to destroy the fun of the game for others.
