With his “Fake Flash,” this LoL player makes four of his opponents look bad at the same time. He escapes certain death with a risky trick.
What happened? On Reddit, player RaptorFromChat shares a video titled “My Best Escape in 7 Years of Playing.” You can see the player being chased by 4 opponents with his character Pyke. Things are not looking good for Pyke, his health points are barely above 0.
His death is actually imminent, but with a risky maneuver, he tricks all the opponents. He uses the summoner spell Flash and makes it look like he is teleporting over a wall by a few meters. However, he takes a completely different path and targets a bush just a few steps away. The opponents cannot see it.
All 4 opponents run past the hidden player. Nobody believes that he chose the bush as his destination.
The clip is popular on Reddit. The video has already collected over 4,000 upvotes.
That’s why it’s risky: A “Fake Flash” has been known in League of Legends for a long time.
- A player runs to a specific spot in front of a wall
- Flashes
- The opponents think the player went over the wall
- But the player is standing nearby in a bush
This is how you want to secure a safe escape. Because the opponents could also flash over the wall. So you hope that none of the opponents notice the deception and check the bush.
If just one of the opponents had checked the bush in the shown video, this perfect escape would have failed immediately. For a moment, it even looked like Quinn was checking the spot. But the player then took a different path.
It’s also risky because this bush in the river is often warded. Had that been the case, the entire enemy team would have seen where Pyke flashed. So there was also a lot of luck involved. Less luck had the pros Doublelift and Perkz in this tower dive.
There is movement at the front of the pros in League of Legends. A legendary player is now becoming a coach:
