LoL: Player creates tier list of all champions – 70,000 players voted on how good their mains are

Almost every champion in League of Legends has a subreddit full of players who main that champion. How well players currently assess their mains has been summarized in a survey and an accompanying tier list by a user.

What kind of tier list is this? The user Borax_the_Mighty created a tier list of the currently best champions in LoL in a Reddit post. He conducted a survey in the subreddits of the various champions. Over 70,000 players voted for their mains.

Users were able to vote for their champs in 6 ranks. Borax_the_Mighty assigned points to the rankings and thus ranked the champions against each other.

A website also presents another statistic and shows which champions are most often AFK.

One lane is completely missing from the top 10

Akshan, Bard, Gwen, Jax, K’Sante, Kai’Sa, and Talon fell out of the voting. He summarized the voting in two top-10 lists: one for the 10 best champions and one for the 10 worst. The 10 best champions according to votes would be as follows:

1. Kha’Zix (Jungle)
2. Gragas (Jungle)
3. Milio (Support)
4. Kog’Maw (Bot)
5. Zeri (Bot)
6. Rengar (Jungle)
7. Ivern (Jungle)
8. Jhin (Bot)
9. Malphite (Top)
10. Fiora (Top)

Here, one can see that midlaners are completely missing, and junglers have the most representatives in the top 10. The voting for Malphite, Jhin, and Fiora was prematurely canceled without a stated reason in the subreddits. However, one must also note that Kog’Maw and Zeri were nerfed in the latest patch.

3. Sivir (Bot)

Supporters and midlaners have the most representatives on this list. However, the voting for Sivir was also prematurely canceled in the subreddit without a stated reason.

How does the voting of mains reflect in-game? On the website U.GG, champions are ranked based on their game statistics. Looking at the top 10 champions from the Reddit poll, one can see that things have changed with the new patch.

When examining the S-Plus ratings from U.GG, it is clear that only Kha’Zix, Kog’Maw, Rengar, Jhin, Fiora, and Malphite have the best rating, while champions like Zeri or Milio are at the bottom. This illustrates how quickly the strength of champions can change in patches.
